Virtua Tennis 2009

I relunctantly bought this game - due to my love of the VT3 winning over all the bad reviews on Play. However I'm glad I did.

There are some big improvements over VT3.

The career mode is way better - far more longevity due to having to work through the ametuer ranks to earn a place on the pro tour.

The controls are as good as VT3 ever was and make it easy to pick up and play.

For those saying it's too easy and you can't make mistakes - Well this is Virtua Tennis. It started life in the arcades and is an ARCADE TENNIS GAME - Not a Sim!!!

It's not a radical overhaul and maybe the changes should have been greater but it's still a fantastic tennis game. If you loved VT3 then get this - If you never played VT3 definately get this!!!

I really love this game and its now its combined the VT2 & VT3 series in one with most features.
The World Tour is alot more interesting having to really work your way through Amatuer and Pro ranks as well as developing your player to play other who do the same and face off.
Facing online peeps is really cool.

PROBLEMS ARE HERE THOUGH:
In normal gameplay there seems to be some glitch that happens during gameplay where the ball freezes for a second before continuing as normal & ONLINE loads of people get away with quitting matches without punishment[update will sort that just like what happend in SF4]
The worse glitch has to be when you in a online match and the ball just gets stuck in the air so play can't continue(WHYYYYYY!!)
PSN i'm sure will sort that out very soon SOOOOO although the flaws are there DEFO get this because the mini-games are great, the Tour is great & the slight update in gameplay and chacter appearances are sure to keep you entertained until problems are fixed....

If you don't go online then your missing out on great battles, however like i said there's alot to do on Tour so create your player and GET TO WORK!!
King & Duke are Back & Mystery Player Boris Becker(i've only seen him so far so not sure if anymore secret classic players are about)

Thought Virtua Tennis 3 was amazing a really tough game to follow but this game is so much better love the new online rankings and also i love play in the davis cup brilliant , a must Buy

yet again, another good installment from the guys at sega. no dives in this one for a start......which is much better.

great game and perfect for a party

I think it would be safe to say that with the exception of some great new mini-games and a graphic "spruce up" this is essentially the same game as last year - BUT, add to that the online options and you got a cracking bit of software thats a hell of a lot of fun ! - Well happy I got this (also had last years, so perhaps worth the money to upgrade??)
