"I currently have a PS2 and about 8 singstar games (addict!) and looking to upgrade to a PS3. Can anyone advise if you have to change the discs on the PS3 or can you save the songs to your hard drive?
Cheers Dave"
- Dave if you purchase a 60GB PS3 (which are backward compatibility) i know that you can just simply hit the select button on the controller and insert one of ure old singstar (PS2) discs. I am not sure if this works with other Ps3 models but i do also know that Sony are looking into running emulators and such as to be able to use PS1 + PS2 games once again on the PS3. Currently 60GB models are no longer being made so you would have to try and search for one. You can DEFINITELY NOT put the singstar songs straight to hard-drive. Anyway at the moment the best PS3 is the slimmer model in either 120GB or 250GB versions baring in mind the only difference between the two is the hard drive (memory). It uses the same hard drive as laptops and so can be relatively easily changed (i've done myself by purchasing a 320GB hard drive off play.com which i highly recommend if you like to download - i download lots of free trailers + game demos of the playstation network.) Singstar is a great game and i would look into if it works with other playstations and also if not you can download individual songs of the singstar store for very little. The PS2 mics work with PS3 which should save u a little bit aswell :) if you need anymore help drop me a comment at: youtube then type /profile?user=happymanrob

I have not had much chance to play this but I have had the previous games and enjoyed everything about them and that's coming from someone who cant really sing. The new game is pretty much the same as other but with much better tracks, if you are new to singstar you would enjoy a karaoke style gameplay that actually judges your voice on how well you sing unlike Lips which just seems to give you a perfect score for just singing along.
For anyone who does not have them I suggest forking out on the wireless mics.

  Best SingStar game yet!!

This went down a treat last night when i took it to a friend's house. We got nearly 3 hours of play out of it. It has some really well known songs on it and more up-to-date stuff which I love. Big thumbs up to Pop Edition, don't think i'll be getting bored of this anytime soon.

  Tracklist looks good!

Good choice of songs on this disc for me, angels is the stand out, with some other fantastic tunes. A defiant purchase from me :)
