BioShock Two is a gem.

Do not come to BioShock Two with the first game in mind. This is not really a sequel. its an extension into the city of rapture.

I am a huge Bio One fan and i found myself to really enjoy this game. i loved the story. the characters and the plasmids. Its a guaranteed buy for what it is.

I highly recommend it to people who like the first. people who like a deep story that is well written with interesting twists.

Get it.

Went to pick up some PX21's yesterday and what do I see near the counter for 7 pound? Bioshock 2, I couldnt believe the price so I had to get it having been a masive fan of the first game. I dont really know why I never got this one, but now I have.

Only just started playing (maybe 2hours in) but its just as great as the first, environments are rich and colourful, graphics are good but not great. Gameplay is just like the first, which is great as its basically an open world (ish) FPS with tonnes of searching for loot and adam ect, Except this time you play as a big daddy which is really cool.

What I will say thow and this is by no means a problem but what I found to be quite funny, Bioshock 1 your just a normal guy and you think I bet it would be awesome if I could play as a big daddy Bioshock 2 problem solved your a big daddy but now I want to play as a little sister, they look so cool. As soon as I saw the first one I thought wow, shes all quick and nimble and Im a giant slow as hell fish bowl with legs and a cork-screw for an arm. Hahah This must be the case for Bioshock 3 but then they'll introduce a new character youll want to play as.lol

If you like single player driven FPS games then this is a must, oh and theres multiplayer too but I havent tried that yet so cant comment.

  Good but....

Bio Shock 2 is undoubtedly a great FPS with great graphics, enemies, weapons and story line BUT..... it's not as good as the original (in my opinion). For a start the original Bio Shock took me ages to complete presenting me with challenge after challenge but BS2 took me just a week or so and felt pretty straightforward or dare I say it... easy!!!!

Don't get me wrong I still recommend this game BUT if you don't already own BS1 then get that first - it's a better and more challenging game - then buy the sequel for a bit of 'follow up' fun!

  Best Shooter around.

I lied, its the 2nd best shooter ever (TimeSplitters wins hands down)

But just like the 1st Bioshock, the story was fantastic, brilliant gameplay, amazing graphics, and a game u can play again and again. the campaign mode is longer than most shooters, (about 10-20 hours-ish) but i would love it to be longer.

The only fault i have with Online mode is..... not enough people play it, and i dont understand why, as the online is so fun.
there is 16 fantastic maps, several different game modes, Completly customize your loadout (class), select your character and your headwear! Even select your meele weapon!(from Knifes and Axes to Golf Clubs and Frying pans!)
and its a game where u cant camp!!

Online - 5/5
Story Mode - 4/5
Graphics - 5/5
Overall = 5*

one of the best action/ adventure games ever, absolutely loved the first one, and this is just as good. the story is unbelievable and the game always has you gripped. it does become very addictive and i found myself playing it for several hours straight completing it within a couple of days. its a must have for any enthusiastic gamer.

  A very worthy sequel...

I actually thought the story and atmosphere were excellent and almost on par with the original. Just don't come into it thinking it will be superior to the first as at times it feels more like BioShock 1.5 rather than a fully blown sequel.
The only reason I don't give this a full 5 stars is because I was a little disappointed with the online multiplayer.

Otherwise a fantastic game and I for one can't wait for the 3rd game (Infinite).

  definitley second best as a sequel.

i loved bioshock to bits and could play it now even though i have finished it numerous times but i really didnt get on with the sequel even though i tried on many occasions.
it felt like a cash in on the game of 2007 and i found myself bored when playing it and it didnt feel like it had any of the atmosphere the original had.
even though i was looking forward to this game and wanted to like it,it hit home that i just didnt enjoy it when i found myself still playing the original when i had the sequel in front of me lol
roll on bioshock infinite :)

The best Bioshock by far, anyone missing out on this is a fool, no offense but you just are :P

Game Settings and Recommendations:
Widescreen, do not purchase unless you can play Widescreen or in HD, you will have a very unpleasant time trying to read the text, I know as I have had a Fullscreen 4:3 TV at one point.

Requires approximately 5GB (same as Bioshock 1) to install, install time will be lengthy but don't worry you can leave it, nothing will pop up, it will just take you to the main menu until you are ready to play, so feel free to walk away and do something else!.

Unlock Frames Per Second in the options menu ingame, it does not degrade visual quality on a PS3 and makes it run 50% better.

I do recommend greatly you play it on 'Hard' too, not that 'Normal' wouldn't be difficult, but Hard is just more realistic.

Multiplayer is good, but single player obviously works better, you'd have to play Multiplayer to learn how it works, cannot be explained simply lol

Gameplay = 9.3/10
Sound = 9.8/10 (only one sound glitch, you probably wouldn't even notice!)
Graphics = 9.0/10
Animation = 9.9/10 (for the most part smooth, but there are one or two things underwater that do not move, for example; plants, but hardly noticed and most do).

  Good, but not for me.

I don't know why, but I just couldn't get interested in this game. I didn't like the story line particularly, and I found the combat and at times just moving irritating. The little girl is also very creepy, in addition to the raptors and various other creature who appear. if you like these sort of things, I would recommend giving it a try, the graphics also look very crisp and contain tremendous detail. Lots of my friends love the game, and are estatic for the release of Bioshock 3, so I probably will be giving it another change in time. I don't think this genre of game is for me to be honest, maybe its just not meant to be...

  addictive as hell!

absolutely love this game. have nothing negative to say about it at all. awesome graphics, awesome sound, awesome gameplay the whole lot! enjoyed this more than the first bioshock even though that too was a great game, playing as a big daddy is great fun and when you fully upgrade your weapons and plasmids you can cause some right destruction. honestly it'll be the best 8.99 you'll have ever spent! in one word...FANTASTIC!
