Great Game & how not to do a special edition!

The Game itself? The best superhero game period! Also the best Batman of any media except for some of the greatest comics. Better outing than any movie to. Should be top contender for 'Game of the Year'! Shame the special edition just is not worth the additional £20, the Baterang looks less like a display piece & more like a cheap plastic toy you'd pick up in a bargain bin in Toys are Naff! I've hidden it behind me other Bat stuff for shame of embarassment. Whoever was responsible for putting this package together should loose their job. The videos on the bonus disk are all available online or in the PS store already and have been for weeks. The only saving grace is the small notebook but, that's only a brief curiosity. I'd only recomend this to a Batfan completist as it's an example of how not to do a special edition. You don't even get a PS3 game box sleeve to keep yer disk in, just some floppy case. All cheap tat & *rap. Ruined what could've/ should've been a great package! Trust me save yourself £20 and buy the game which I'd give 5 out of 5 for, wish I had!

Great game, but CE feels a bit rushed and cheap.

Ok so I got the CE because im a huge DC fan and the idea of having an iconit batman weapon sitting next to my graphic novels is just cool.

Its just a shame the actual thing is a bit cheap and.... well cheapish.

The actual batarang is pretty shoddy for the simple fact it just looks bad. The actual blag baterang isnt awful itself (although a more realistic material then plastic would have looked better), but the grey stand it sits on is rediculious!!

Maybe im expectng too much for £60, but would it have hurt to have maybe molded the stand into something more interesting?

Maybe add some gothic shapes, or some pattern or maybe colour to it? The batarang has authentic damage marks on it, like its seen use and battle, so thats a nice touch tbh.

But the rest of the CE is a slight let down too. You get a book which basically tells you stuff you learn ingame about BOs of characters and a thick manual, and the key to unlock extras.

The DVD you get with the game showing developement isn't bad, but its basically 5 or 6 tracks with a menu letting you choose one.

Over all, people are going to buy this for the batarang and tbh. its a bit of a let down for paying an extra £20. I realise making it out of metal or steal would have probably been dangerious, but plastic just doent feel riight and stand leaves a lot to be desired.

As for the game, its great!!!

Review of the Collector's Edition, NOT the game itself

having had this on preorder for quite a while it finally arrived this morning, I was most dissapointed when i opened to box to see that the batarang inside the box was the cheapest looking piece of plastic i've ever seen, it's like the plastic you get from thos £1 toy swords at markets. The little book about the villians is interesting but to be honest you can find out all the info online anyway. This edition is not worth the additional £20 you pay for it just buy the standard version and save dissapointment!

 dont buy the collectors edition
