LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues combines the fun and creative construction of LEGO bricks with the wits, daring and non-stop action of one of cinema's most beloved adventure heroes. With a unique, tongue-in-cheek take on all the Indiana Jones films - including for the first time ever 'Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull' - LEGO Indiana Jones 2 follows Dr. Jones' escapades from the jungles of South America to the Peruvian Ruins and beyond. Fans can experience the most authentic LEGO experience yet by designing and building their own levels brick by brick, and by fusing their levels with themed cut-scenes to create a custom game. In LEGO Indiana Jones 2, everyone can build, battle and brawl their way through their favourite cinematic moments - or create their own!

  • For the first time ever in a LEGO game, Build Your Own Adventure Mode allows you to create your own levels and environments and share them with your friends.
  • For the ultimate and most authentic LEGO experience, you can create your own levels and combine them with cut-scenes themed to your level.
  • Play all new 'Kingdom of the Crystal Skull' characters such as Mutt Williams on his motorcycle and use special abilities, including Oxley's Crystal Skull Power.
  • Innovative re-tellings of the classic movies with all-new objectives and brand new levels. For example, this time you can play through the exciting vehicle chase in Shanghai with Short Round.
  • Beat each level in Story Mode and return in Free Play for a completely new adventure.
  • Indy has all-new animations, such as grabbing an enemy with his whip then throwing him over his shoulder.
  • Jump into all-new vehicles to help Indy get through all the new levels including planes, boats and mine carts - but watch out for the quicksand!
  • Use Indy's newly enhanced whip to interact with LEGO objects and help unlock iconic puzzles and battle with enemies.
  • Use a variety of weapons from the environment to fight enemies (e.g., chairs, guns, swords, bottles).
  • Collect artifacts through the game to unlock more than 60 playable characters, including villains and supporting characters (Marion Ravenwood, Mutt Williams, Short Round, Rene Belloq, Willie Scott, Marcus Brody, Dr. Henry Jones Sr. and Irina Spalko).
  • Character swapping and Free Play abilities.
  • Two-player drop-in, drop-out cooperative gameplay encourages parents to share the legacy of Indiana Jones with their children in a fun and humourous way.

Good game play but not as good as the original

If you have a choice between this game and the original then I would go for the original. The first game is more true to the films with the lego twists. This versions finds you jumping from play sets to play sets rather then a continuous story mode like in the other Lego games. Levels are short and repetitive. Not really an improvement just a different style of playing.

On a good note you do have bosses to defeat which can be a bit tricky and many mini games and challenges. The graphics are pretty nice to with plenty of characters to unlock/buy and lots more vehicals.
All in all this is more like playing with lego, building and trashing with an Indy twist rather then the original game play of playing through the movies with a Lego twist...not my cup of tea but was all right just to pick up and have a quick play - i would wait until price goes down

All Good Fun! More To Do & Much Bigger Than Previous Ones.

Top 100 Electronics Reviewer

This has to be my favourite lego game up to date, it uses the same detail as the other games in full 1080P (Just a little jumpy in parts but not to bad) Also whats good when you used to play co-op offline mode with a friend you had to wait for them to catch up "Usually the girlfriend who comes over ; )" not now... when you leave each other on the game a grid line goes between the screen so you can wonder off by yourself buying items & collecting treasure. Trophies are now available & I expect that they will include "Lego Rock Band" & "Lego Harry Potter". That's it really, if you own indiana jones the first game I would consider buying this it's really good.

PLEASE NOTE:

CHECK YOUR GAME WHEN PLAYING TO MAKE SURE IT IS AUTOSAVING, BECAUSE I DIDN'T LOOK OUT FOR INDY'S BROWN HAT IN THE BOTTOM LEFT CORNER TO INDICATE IT WAS AUTO-SAVING & WHEN I QUIT TO THE MAIN MENU NOTHING SAVED. EG, JUST DO ONE MISSION & JUST CHECK IT IS SAVING & YOU CAN'T GO WRONG FROM THERE. "YOU SHOULD SEE A MESSAGE SAYING AUTO SAVING ENABLED WHEN YOU CREATE YOUR FIRST SAVE GAME."

Requirements & Features:

1 - 2 Players (Co-Op Mode = Offline Only, There's No Online)
Harddrive Space (Approx. 4.4 MB)
Dualshock 3 (Vibrations, Vibrations.)
PAL (UK)
HD Output (720P, 1080i & 1080P)

Wasnt bad but it is the worst lego game that I played

| | See all THIEF15's reviews (8)

I have lego Indiana Jones 1 (and 2 ofcourse since I am writing this review) lego Batman and lego Harry Potter years 1-4. And in my opinion this game gets the lowest rating of the onces I have. It wasn't bad just very repeative. Each of the 6 stories (3 times crystal skull and 1 story for each of the other movies) have 15 levels. 5 levels which tells the movie, 5 replay levels and 5 best discriped as lego levels.

The 5 movie levels: 2 of them are like you are used to from lego indiana jones 1. 1 level is basicly bash every enemy until the level is completed. 1 level is break every car of the enemy and 1 boss level. The last 3 levels I named are very very short.

The replay levels: Basicly replay the same or slightly different level as the story level. The diffence might be that something happened in the story which they put in these levels. The meaning of these levels is to find the golden lego block and collect it. Some are as easy as destroying 10 balloons.

Lego levels: these are small and usually very easy levels completely in lego style (for the people that played lego Harry Potter these are like the levels you can unlock in the bank). I completed most of these levels within 2 to 5 minutes.

The real collecting like you had in lego Indiana Jones 1 (the puzzles of how and where to get the 10 golden lego blocks) is gone in every of those levels. They now have a world map for each of the 6 stories where there is a weak version of the puzzle like collecting.

All in all wasn't bad to play but in the origional style it would have been better. Also had the feeling I completed it a lot quicker then Indiana Jones 1. But that might also have a little bit to do that Indianan Jones was one of the first games that I played on the PS3. But mainly I think that it had to do with the smallers levels. I give it 3 stars since its 2.5 isn't posible.
