Become The Best. Shred The Rest: In Guitar Hero 5 players can test their skills against others with four-player local and up to eight-player online battles in the all-new competitive RockFest Mode. Within RockFest Mode, players can choose from various gameplay types including Elimination, Momentum, Do Or Die, Streakers, Perfectionist and Pro Face Off, for how they want to dominate their competition.

The Band That Plays Together: Bands can earn bonus multipliers by hitting new special note streams in unison, creating an even greater sense of excitement and accomplishment for players that can rock songs together.

Make and Share Music: Guitar Hero 5 features the innovative Music Studio and GHTunes first introduced in 'Guitar Hero: World Tour'. Produce hits in the redesigned Music Studio with improved editing tools, new guitar samples and mix patterns and share them online with GHTunes.

Join The Party: It has never been easier to rip it up and rock out with friends than it is in Guitar Hero 5. The brand-new Party Play Mode puts players straight into the action with the press of a button and allows them to jump in or drop out, or switch difficulty level at any time without interrupting the jam session.

              Top 100 PC Reviewer

Another guitar hero game and after 7 releases, it seems that they ran out of guitar music, for guitar hero 5. (release 8 in the series)

90% of the music on here is pop trash, it's the type of music that should never be associated with a series like this, because it doesn't have guitar solos in.

There's only a few decent songs on here like the iron maiden & megadeth ones & a few others - music which is guitar orientated, and not ugly music by the likes of cold play or bob dylan.

The new menu system is a joke. It took me ages just to work out how to play online. And once you get online, you'll find that they have changed everything and made the experience the worse for it.

Replay on this game is fairly low, as it only has a few good "guitar songs", I'm sticking to guitar hero 3, world tour & metallica.
And don't expect the controller to last long either, my other ones haven't.

Lastly - watch out for a song called "do you feel like we do" - it's a song that seems to have no end. I must have been playing it for 20 minutes before it finally ended. I thought time had stood still.!

This game is recommended for lamerz who like pop music, not for guitar hero's like myself who like to rock out amp overdrive full 10 blast 9.!

Not sure why other reviews slagged this game off, it got excellent reviews in the gaming magazines and anyone complaining about not enough guitar solo's probably doesn't realise that it is for the whole band i.e. Guitar, Drums, Bass, and vocals (just like Guitar hero World Tour) with a great track list this is probably the best in the series.

               Simply the best

This has got to have some of the best guitar songs on it, giving you a lot of choice for different moods. Value for money, compared to anywhere else, and with World Tour free, it makes this bundle even better. 5 stars for a 5 start game

Another good adition to the franchise.

As a fan of Guitar Hero for some years, I was very pleased with this latest instalment. I am not sure why there have been so many negative reviews of this game on here because I feel that the set-list is one of the best ever.

The guitar that comes with this game is very stylish and easy to position on your lap if you choose to play sitting down. Also, the slider bar allows you to tap the notes to a song rather than strum if you wish. This allows for greater accuracy during tough solos.

My only criticism is that if you are a fan of PS3 trophies, you need to purchase the mic and drums in order to achieve some of them. This is a devious marketing plan but overall this is a very good game and well worth the purchase if you enjoy Guitar Hero. Much better than Beatles: Rock Band ;)

               Where is World Tour?

I ordered this expecting to get GH: World Tour, for some odd reason it didnt come. Although the game is fun, i find it to be a big let down compaired to the previous incarnations of GH, the lack of songs with actual guitar solos just makes the game kind of boring :-( oh well
