With FreeLoader for Wii, you can play ANY region of game on your UK Wii!

FreeLoader for Wii is really easy to use. Simply insert your FreeLoader for Wii disc and load it in the usual way. When the drive stops, eject the FreeLoader for Wii disc and insert the game, which then loads and plays just like it would on its own region of Wii. It's as simple as that! FreeLoader for Wii is 100% unofficial, and requires no modifications to your console. As well as letting you play Wii games from all regions, FreeLoader for Wii also works with imported GameCube games when played on your Wii.
  • Play ANY region of Wii or GameCube game on your UK Wii
  • Easy to use
  • No console modification required
  • Does not invalidate warranty
  • Play games never released in your region
  • 100% unofficial - Not endorsed by Nintendo

 Works with Brawl!

Top 100 Games Reviewer

Tested this with Smash Bros Brawl (US) and it works. What are you waiting for?!

Using it is very... strange. You pop the disc in on the channel menu and fuzzy bars appear across the screen almost as if it's breaking your wii. This happens twice, and the reigon lock is disabled. Take the freeloader out, pop in your imported game and away you go.

Some games include a on disc update (including brawl) which you will have to use in order to play. To do this you insert the freeloader TWICE to allow disc updates. Don't worry, the on disc firmware update simply allows dual layer reading and will not break your freeloader. However, I wouldn't recommend upgrading your wii firmware via online updates until someone confirms that it does not break the freeloader.

 A once great product

The freeloader is a great idea, but unfortunately Nintendo have decided that importing games shouldn't be done and their new update has made it impossible to use the freeloader anymore. This of course leaves people who have purchased several overseas games screwed. I urge you- DO NOT BUY THIS. IT WILL NOT WORK ANYMORE

 No Fuss, Works Perfectly

I was a little nervous when I first ordered Wii Freeloader incase it didn't work or it was too much hassle to use everytime I played imported games, but thankfully it works fine and is very quick.

The freeloader just requires you to put it in your console for about 10-15 seconds, then you can just take it out and play any imported game you want!
Note for games with updates, like Brawl, you'll need to insert it twice.

I know it might be a bit obvious, but make sure you have your Wii set to 60hz to play the games. I never thought of it when I couldn't get my game to play at first...

Bit of trial & error sometimes but does the job

Since the forums & youtube have been flooded with different methods, i will explain how i got mine to work.

[Wii Latest Version 3.2e - TV MUST SUPPORT 60hz (480i/p)]

Boot Method 1 - Insert freeloader disc, eject & insert import game

Boot Method 2 - Insert freeloader disc, eject, reinsert freeloader, eject & then insert import game

Red screen - Only happens if using a RGB Cable, revert to NON-RGB slot in tv or you use either component or composite cable

Black screen - Revert to alternate boot method

Black & White screen - TV doesnt support NTSC signals

[Games tested]

Manhunt 2 (USA)

Boot method 1 - Red screen if using RGB Cable, perfect using Component or Standard Composite / Scart.

Boot method 2 - Works perfectly with all cables

Smash Bros Brawl (USA)

Boot method 1 - Red screen if using RGB Cable, perfect using Component or Standard Composite / Scart

Boot method 2 - Black Screen, though audio can be heard

All in all a great product that plays pretty much every NTSC Wii game there is & a few NTSC gamecube games too. Highly recommended for the impatient like me.

 Works like a charm

I just got this and tried it out with Brawl. I had some trouble first but as I updated my Wii software to E3.2 (had E3.0). Now it works as it should. (I had to put the FreeLoader in twice and do the update from the Brawl disc. After the update it seems to be enough that you put the FreeLoader in once.)

At the moment I'm very happy; especially because the Super Smash Bros. Brawl hasn't come out in Europe (and I don't know when it will) and because the games from Japan and Canada are a lot cheaper!
