In a frantic battle to the chequered flag, Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing sees Sonic and friends speed around tracks set in mediaeval castle ramparts, lush rainforests and bustling cities, all taken from the visually rich and varied universes of Sonic and Sega. Fan favourites such as Dr. Eggman, Tails, AiAi, Amigo and many more will join Sonic in their custom built vehicles, revving their engines and jostling to stay ahead of the pack. Each character will race around the track in cars, planes, motorbikes, and in AiAi's case - a banana mobile! Secret short cuts, swift handling and avoiding strategically placed obstacles are certainly the best way to get to the top of the podium.

Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing has a great selection of Sega characters that you can race with which include: Amigo, Aiai, Sonic, Tails, Alex The Kid, Beat, Dr Eggman, Ulala, Nights and many more. I love racing as my Mii the most and the race tracks are large and look great as do all the characters. Each character has their own unique racing machine with Tails being a plane. All the weapons, handling and even the power drifting feel very much like Mario Kart and the online racing mode is most excellent too. The racing isn't so manic as Mario Kart and it relies more on your skill to win the race. There are 64 challenges to complete which involve drifting, shooting and avoiding objects on the track. When you gain enough Sega Miles you can go shopping and unlock extra charcters, tracks and even music which is from different sega games. The All-Star move makes you go super fast which comes in handy when you are near the back of the pack. All in all if you love Mario Kart Wii and want more of the same then this is a must buy but Mario Kart Wii is still the King.

This is a great game for children of all ages it has great tracks and fun characters from various Sega games new and retro, the controls can be a tad frustrating at times setting it apart from the more superior Mario kart!! Sega All-star has all the similar controls and power up lay out but its more twitchy than Mario kart, Nintendo have still got it down with racing on the wii. Worth getting but if you already have Mario kart you may find yourself going back to it more than this.

 Excellent Fun

This is a very fun game, similar in many ways to Mario Kart, but has some better options to the game and the tracks have some better graphics. All in all, a very entertaining game and well worth playing if you like Mario Kart.

What a good game! it's like Mario Kart but with most of the Sega characters in it that everyone likes and loves. The reason I rated four stars is that I'm not over keen on the commentary but don't let me put you off. If you like Sega and Sonic in particular then this game shouldn't be missed from your collection.
