Dance On Broadway

love it very swingy and full of fun for the whole family just like a just dance would defo recommend

Following on from 'Just Dance' comes this Broadway version. The game includes lots of songs from upbeat musicals you can really start to move to (Hairspray, Rocky Horror, Little shop of horrors, Fame and Cabaret are just a few). Its great to finally get a game which includes songs and tracks from musical theatre because not everyone is a fan of new age poppy music.

Basically the aim of the game is to follow the on screen dancers - (with four in each song most of the time they all do different moves so there are in actual fact almost four different dances to learn to each song). They score you on accuracy on how well you move and keep in time to the dancers on screen. Great to practice and keep fit alone as you soon get tired, but really it is designed as a multi player game, perfect for parties or game nights where you all compete to get the best score.

The game has less competition modes than just dance (ie the last one standing etc) hence only the four stars but the basic run of the game is the same. I only hope that Nintendo and Wii keep up the pace and release a few more 'musicals/shows' games. Maybe a west end version or a 'Wii sing west end songs'. (hint hint) Definitely worth a look if you like the interactive, multi player, party, dancey active games and just like a bit of fun.

I am actually disappointed with this game. It's not as easy as Just Dance so my 4 year old struggled. At times the characters are all doing something different so it was hard for me to prompt my daughter. I'm a dancer but I found it hard to pick up some especially when you have to wait for your character to move it's not always clear. Also the camera angles change so thats confusing sometimes to, having to refocus where you are and what you're doing. I'm sure we'll get used to it but it's no where near as good as Just Dance apart from the fact I love show songs!

This game is similar to just dance. I found this game a lot easier as the game seems to pick up your movements much better than just dance (less x's). The routines are also a lot less energetic. This game has four dancers on srcreen and you can choose if you want to be a backing dancer or the lead and there is a good mix of male and female parts. If you love show tunes then you will have fun however there are only 20 songs to choose from.

After the amazing success of the brilliant game Just Dance I couldn't wait for this release but unfortunately I am very disappointed. The selection of tunes are ok but the dance moves are very confusing. With 4 dancers being present on the stage at all times even in single player mode it is difficult to focus on what moves you are supposed to be doing. If you are expecting this game to be as good as Just Dance its not!
