Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn

Fans of the series will rejoice at this fact, returning to the tried and tested control system and playing style. While the graphics are by no means breathtaking, the story is epic and well written and you find yourself becoming emotionally attached to a number of the cast which will have you reaching for the reset button if they are killed in battle.

While this may sound annoying it is never the fault of the game and you realise that you must learn from your mistakes quickly!

If you are looking for a casual pick up and play game this is not it, it eat will eat up hours of your life but you won't want them back, on the contrary you'll find yourself playing through the game again within hours of completion!

I've always liked Strategy games - and hence picking this game up was no surprise. What does surprise is wondering why this is a Wii game when it doesn't really use any of the Wii controls / movement.

It is an addictive RPG strategy which (I'm playing at medium level) is quite difficult and challenging especially if you don't want any of your characters to die! I certainly recommend it but doubt non-strategy fans will like it and not sure it appeals to the wider Wii fanbase.

A good if childlike guide is available and it's just a shame not more background is given to character growth / experience / weapons / mods etc and what you might require. On other hand this you pick up as you go, relatively simply.

I can't wait to get back and finish it...

Very beautiful movie story cut-scenes (japanese cartoon style) add to the feeling of the story as you progress but the graphics during battle time (turn based) from up high could have been improved on - reminded me of the C64!

4/5 for startegy / thinking / addictiveness
1/5 for using wii strengths
2/5 for graphics (movies nice but in game is where you spend most your time)

I bought this game based on the reviews on Play. I was not disappointed! I love these turn based games and have played similar on the playstation. I bought the classic controller just for Radiant Dawn and it works very well. The graphics are much better than I thought they would be. I do get slightly bored with the constant 'A' pressing thru all the conversations (but, be careful, there is a point later in the game where you actually have to make a choice... I wont say anymore LOL). I would prefer a little more decision making (outside of combat) as the game is very linear. I am playing Zelda too, but I prefer Radiant Dawn!! I really hope more episodes of Fire Emblem are made available for the wii!

This is the first Fire Emblem game I have played. It plays somewhat like a board game but on a console. This works for me a I am a fan of strategy and roleplay board games. I played the game addictively and enjoyed it immensely. I can see why fans of highly intense, quick moving action games would find it a little boring, but I loved it.

I've been a fan of Fire Emblem ever since Path of Radiance and still play it to choose my favourite characters, like others have said i will buy the wii to specifically to play Radiant Dawn. I have always been a fan of turn based RPG'S and always keep an eye out for good ones, which i know Radiant Dawn will be even without reading a review. But i hope some of the former games characters will resurface in the new one.
