An experiment at a secret research facility has gone catastrophically wrong. Daniel Lamb and Leo Kasper are the only surviving subjects. The Pickman Project will stop at nothing to hunt them down and stop the truth from getting out.

Demented screams echo around the dank asylum that has caged you for the last six years. You open your eyes. A white-coated body slumps to the floor through your shaking hands. A bloody syringe slips from your arm. Waves of confusion and paranoia crash over you. You have no idea who you are or how you got here.

The door to your cell is open. One choice. One chance. They took your life. Time to take it back.
  • Suitable for 18 years and over. Not for sale to persons under age 18. By purchasing this product, you declare that you are 18 years of age and over.

 Don't bother

As sick as it may sound, why would you buy this game if you don't accept it's concept? Every time you kill someone the screen blurs something like the Ring movies when the girl's about to crawl out the TV. Either the board in charge of certifications have won their fight for nothing but games like viva pinata, or Rockstar have buckled to the pressure. Without the gritty detail of the kills and all other gore it becomes nothing more than a extremley low budget version of metal gear solid. Sneak, hide, try to spot the enemy via the dodgy camera angle, attack. Charge the attack up for a more 'gruesome' kill if you wish, not that it'll make any difference cos you won't be seeing any of it to protect your pretty, innocent eyes.

It's a complete cop-out. You buy the game for what it is and it cuts all that material out. Doesn't touch the first.

Great game well worth the money, even at this low price, great value! I wish there were no censors though, but it's still cool!

By the way, the censors can be removed. I have done this with my version and without the blurs this game really kicks a**e and is so gory, it's unbelievable. I'm just a little bit disappointed it's still not fully uncut like The PS2 BETA that was leaked online as the pliers executions are edited and heads no longer explode, other than those missing tidbits, this is the best version to date in its uncensored state and is very gory.

(I have vids around the 'net showing these)

I love The Manhunt games, cool graphics and runs smoothly too, the controls are a little awkward at first when your so used to The PS2 version but they are easy to get used to and work fine most of the time. I miss the ratings scoring system too which was in The PS2 BETA but sadly no longer in retail versions. Get this awesome game and let's hope for a Manhunt 3

 Well worth a Tenner.

This game may be censored on the Wii version (i'm surprised it even got a release), but it's still dark and hugely playable. Excellent price. Well done Play!

 we need a ps3 version!

Really cool game, shame about the graphics tho. And shame about the gore compared to the first one it gets blanked out which is no fun. I think a ps3/360 version is much needed!!!

 don't hate!

Worth the wait mainly due to the atmospherical feel of the game resembling that of the first manhunt; dark, eerie, gritty.

I havent got hung up on the fact that the uk version is heavily censored, this only applies to the executions so for me does not have a negative effect on the game as a whole.... Unless perhaps you actually have psychotic tendencies in which case this may be an issue for you.

The way you use the wii remote and nunchuck during executions is fun and interactive (obviously) so following the on screen prompts can distract you from the actual act of the killing anyway.

There is also a really interesting feature when you are hiding in the shadows and an enemy is peering into the blackness within which you have fled to you have to hold the wii remote deadly still, a pointer appears on the screen and you have to keep it within a contracting circle to avoid being spotted, it can be quite tense!

In summary, the controls and movement are all pretty much the same as the original manhunt (a good thing for me), as is the hiding in the shadows and the three different levels of gore with regard to the executions so, all the classic features that made the original a hit accompanied by a new setting, a new (horror) story and new victims to sneak up on!
