Endless Ocean 2: Adventures Of The Deep plays like a natural extension of the first game. You control your scuba-diver through lush underwater locales by pointing the Wii Remote at the screen and holding the B-Trigger to swim. The goal of the game changes depending on the situation, but you travel through the ocean and across other bodies of water carrying out various tasks, whether it's escorting a client, taking photos of rare sea life, or even seeking out hidden treasure!
  • The ocean is teeming with life. Hundreds of real-life species are there to be discovered, from seahorses and giant squid to the living fossils of ancient times!
  • Are the local fish sick or agitated? Players can view their health status and then use a tranquiliser-like tool called the Pulsar to zap the ones in need of some rehab back to health.
  • The game includes a full storyline for players to enjoy. The plot follows Océane and her grandfather Jean-Eric, and their investigation into the mysterious "Song of Dragons", which Océane's father, a prominent ocean explorer, was searching for just before his death. Along the way they will travel the world, discovering lost sunken ruins and traversing the great ocean depths!
  • While at Nineball Island, players can teach new tricks to dolphins and small whales that have been befriended in the wild. When on a dive, players can even bring along one of these animal partners and hold on to it for extra fast swimming!
  • Players can use Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection to swim with friends, while using Wii Speak to talk to each other*.

If you loved the first, then there is no doubt you'll find these just as enthralling. Unlike the first (which was more of diving EXPERIENCE) EO2 - as the title suggests - is more of an ADVENTURE based game. There are numerous story threads which need to be completed before you can move on to the next level, but you still have plenty of time to explore every inch of the sea on your journey. Infact, you can just play the game from the treasure hunting point of view (as in ignore looking at all the species etc and searching around) complete that, THEN go back and do all the other things expected of an Endless Ocean game.
The gameplay / controls are basically the same as the first, but with a few extra features .... the animation & graphics outshine the original by a mile too!

The cut scenes are abit long winded and drawn out (hence I couldnt give it a full 5 stars) BUT - there is sooooooooo much to see & do here, with 6 different oceans + the Amazon river!, the ability to explore on land - twice as many species as in the first game and simply load to explore a discover. I've logged almost 24 hours dive time since buying this and although have almost completed the 'main' object of the game, know that I'm gonna be stuck on this for months just hunting around .......

Here's hoping that there will be an Endless Ocean 3 in the future .... maybe with a little extra highlight on wreck diving too!

Its a good game, but in my opinion it is very simular to the first one just this one is a has little more adventure than diving. So if you have one of these games theres really not much point in buying the other. I feel i have wasted my money buying this as i already have the first one.
