Hit the slopes and enjoy life in a winter wonderland with Family Ski. The hills and mountains of Happy Ski Resort are the perfect place to hang out, relax and take in the sights or compete in a variety of fun challenges.

Using the Wii Remote and Nunchuk as your ski poles, you're free to roam throughout the resort, exploring every twist and turn of more than a dozen different ski runs. You could also step onto the Wii Balance Board and navigate your way down the piste by leaning from left to right and using your poles to build up speed.

As you explore the resort, you'll bump into all sorts of friendly characters, some of whom might invite you to complete in special challenges such as racing or helping to find a missing skier. Each time you complete these challenges you'll earn stars that unlock new in-game features.

You can also choose to clip on your skis and compete in a variety of high-speed races or brush up on skiing techniques in Ski School. Whatever you're doing in Happy Ski Resort, you'll want to look the part. You can play as your Mii or choose one of 32 skiers, then customise every detail of their appearance. Having your own style is especially helpful when you play Family Ski in multiplayer mode.

With so much to see and do, Family Ski is a mountain of fun, and luckily, the snow sticks around all-year long.
  • Use the Wii Balance Board to heighten your skiing experience as you explore the vast Happy Ski Resort
  • Customise your skiers, selecting everything from the kinds of hats on their heads to the type of skis on their feet!
  • Join up to three friends on the slopes in multiplayer mode and share snapshots you take in Happy Ski Resort with others via the Wii Message Board

Balance board a last minute tag on!

Good fun but does not utlise the balance board as well as wii fit. Its just used for side to side movement unlike the skiing bit of wii fit which uses forward and backward movement too. It definatly feels like the board has been added as an after thought. Fun but in a limited way!

 Super Skiing Fun!!

I love this game, it's really good fun and I really like the way there are a number of different types of runs for you to try and master. From beginner slopes to super fast slopes to slopes you have to do jumps and tricks, there are lots of different activities to keep you interested.

I am also pleased that you have to interact using the remote and nunchuk, you don't just sit there pressing buttons you actually have to move (mainly your arms) around to make you player ski.

There are characters you can chose and then you can mold them into an appearance that suits you. Alternatively you can use your wii mii although they cannot wear hats or goggles.

Each slope has a grading system and you have to do a certain number of things on the run to get the higher grade (you are shown your grade at the start of the slope and then again at the end where you have the chance to press the A button to see where you can improve if necessary) The better the grades you get, the more points you will receive which in turn unlock extra items your skier can wear from the ski shop.

The game can utilise the balance board although I don't have one and I have been able to play the game just fine.

I highly recommend this game for people wanting to play alone or with friends and/or family.

 The real feeling of skiing

As soon as I began, I remembered quickly the feeling of sliding on the tracks or even between the trees, on long snowy paths on the mountain.... On top of that, you meet people on the resort that propose you some games like race, challenges, new jump tricks or the best: the exploration of the resort to discover a track hidden on the map (wow). I do not have the balance board but I can ensure that the feelings are really there with the wiimote and the nunchuk.

 This game rocks
