  Does Absolutely Nothing New

| | See all deanlowdon's reviews (468)

Anyone who plays a new Legend of Zelda title expecting major gameplay changes obviously hasn't been following the series over the last twenty years. Twilight Princess however takes this to the extreme almost playing like a greatest hits collection of previous games, in particular Ocarina of Time. If you're a huge fan of the series your likely still enjoy yourself but I couldn't shake the feeling I'd seen it all before and simply found this a chore to play.

  This game is amazing

This game is worth every penny and more. If you like long games with lots of items to collect then this is the game for you. Nintendo really know how to make a action/adventure game. They take complete advantage of the motion controls, lots of fun and a great game.

  Often Great, sometimes frustrating.

This is the first Zelda game I ever played it's a very good game but I found the game frustrating a times as it seems to delight in making you get stuck often by being purposefully obscure. Also the game feels a little old fashioned with sluggish controls and simple combat. The level design for the dungeons is often brilliant and there are some great moments in the game making this one of the best games on the wii.

One of the best games made to date

I really didn't expect this zelda to be so good ( i consider ocarina of time to be pretty much the best game made to date.) I didn't think it would work without a pad but as always nintendo have made the controls intuitive and fluid, it's actually slightly more fun usin the wand and nun-chuck. There are occasions where you scream for a camera angle but overall you wouldn't change it.
The story is good as is the musical score as they have taken much from ocarina of time and used it here, in fact this is like ocarina of time 2 as so much has been taken from every aspect of the game including characters and weapons etc.
I do not want to tell you too much about this as it will ruin many rewarding surprises, this is without question the best game on the wii.
i have been into games for 27 years ( i am 32 ) and i have all consoles, a p.c and a mac. Please trust my opinion when i say this is one of the best games made to date.
The fact i paid 17.00 pounds for this secondhand even though it came out in 2006 is a testament to it's quality. If you find it cheaper grab it, you will not be disappointed.
P.s this is not suitable for kids unless they have assistance from someone used to gaming as some of the puzzles are damn hard.

Best Zelda and Wii game to Date

Bought this game when I first got my Wii which was back in 2007 and took me a long time to complete it. This remains still one of the best Wii games money can buy and let no one tell you different. The story is incredible, gameplay just as better and there is no other word that can describe this game just Brilliant.

If you own a Wii this is the game for everyone, do not read these reviews and find out what it is like because trust me this is literally the best Wii game ever and today remains my favourite Zelda game of all time.

  Well, Its zelda

i really need not say more, its not quite the N64 ones (my personal favourites) but its not bad either, having played the DS ones the graphics coming back to the proper consoles was a welcome reminder of what the zelda team can really do! i muchly enjoyed this game going back to hyrule for new even bigger adventure! (no really its huge) not a game to play if you have less that an hour really but the array of enemies, puzzles and new dungeons makes this an absolute MUST HAVE for ANY zelda fan it would get 5 stars but the first section of the game is a little repetitive: clear an area, do a dungeon but once you get past that stuff happens this game has a gripping story and for whatever reason you bought it WILL NOT WANT TO PUT IT DOWN until its done!!!!! enjoy...

  Seen that been there...

I was really excited at first because I liked the original zelda. But then my excitement dissapeared. The game was repetitive and dull, not to mention monster are quite easy to defeat. Story is repetitive especially when you are in the wolf form. Graphics aren't the best compared to Monster Hunter Tri, It woulnd't hurt to add more shaders and colours to the world.

It's an old game and yet the price for new is shocking... but there is always play.trade :) I wouldn't chip out 40 quid for this game but 12 pounds is fair price for LOOOOng journey that will get you bored or not.

Shame that they haven't implemented any Quest info so sometimes you are confused...

3/5 Because it could have been good. But its old zelda with old ideas in new package.
