I played Monkey Ball when it first came out on the DS and I absolutely loved it, so I was quite disappointed when I bought this game for the Wii and it just seemed really naff in comparison. The controls are too awkward (yes I know they're always sensitive in Monkey Ball, that's part of the game to make it tough, but this was too much) I managed to complete the main circuits reasonably well though I didn't find them at all fun, but the mini games I could hardly get to work at all! The instructions for how to play and hold the Wiimote are not particularly clear and easily forgotten when you get yourself in a tizz because the damn thing won't work! I found it difficult to get lined up correctly and in the right position for my Wiimote to work successfully. VERY DISAPPOINTED. Don't buy it if you're reminiscing over the old DS version like I was, really is not up to the same standard and takes all the fun out of it, leaving you feeling nothing but frustration.
I thought this game was going to be way too easy, I was wrong, its quite challenging and I love it, its fun and cheerful, not to mention addictive, a great game for all ages.
I loved these games on previous consoles and thought it would deliver on the WII. Apart from your standard one player game, i brought this due to the high amount of minigames!!!!
I enjoyed them and didnt get a lot of time to spend on this game, but i was having trouble with the sensor on the game (and no it wasnt my WII!) The game asks you to center your controller for most/every minigame to make you aware of where your cursor is...but the game is way to sensitive for my liking and certain games i just couldnt play.
Buy it for the minigame fun, lots of muyltiplayer madness there!!!
