  So much fun!

I bought this game after using EA Active for 6 months and just fancied something new. For less than a tenner it's an amazing add on to the original game. There's been a lot of improvements since the first one: warm ups and cool downs, and my personal favourite you can now work on your stomach, and not just arms and legs. It's set on a tropical island and the excercises link with the theme . I totally work up a sweat with this game and I would recommend it to anyone who is serious about getting fit. It's 100 times more satisfying than Wii Fit Plus in my opinion.

  The best gets better!

This is an improvement on the original, which IMHO was the best one out there! The assult course is fun and challenging. The balance board is also more widely used.
This is a must on anyone looking for a fitnes game on the Wii.

Its a great "game" with loads of items to do and to perform. It has various exercises including those for cardio. The personal trainer assigned is really helpful and overall it is fun. The not so fit will know the game is working because you muscles start aching after a bit...It also has a schedule of workouts, different workouts at different levels and you can customise workout plans for the whole week and store them for future usage.

I'm a fan of the first ea sports active & have recommended it to friends & family who have also bought it.
This one is even better with more cardio which is what I felt the original lacked.
I am only on my 3rd day of the 6 week challenge & I have already completed skipping, abdominal crunches, squash & an assault course!!!Plus many more new exercises.
There is also warm up & cool down stretches which is also new.
Overall I love it.Well done ea sports.Cant wait for number 3!!!

This is the best Wii fitness aid that I have bought - and I have bought the lot! This is much better than the original Wii Sports Active. I especially enjoy the step section. Buy it!

The first EA Sports Active was a great improvement over Nintendo's Wii Fit. Wii Fit used a lot of games and fairly childish exercises, which weren't much of a challenge to adult users and/or people who are in reasonable to good shape.
The first EA Active took its workouts more seriously and less playfull. This of course, is good if you want to exercise, burn calories, improve your condition and maybe lose some weight in the process, but the problem with the first EA active is that it might be TOO serious. The workouts tend to become boring.
Enter... Active More Workouts. I like this sequel mainly because of the extra variance, both in workouts and in scenery. I know, don't expect too much from Wii's graphics, but still it's more fun to run along the beaches of a tropical island instead of a boring round track.
Besides the extra workouts, this new edition of Active has, in my opinion, improved the response to movements of the remote/nunchuck, so it follows and measures your activities more reliable.
The Wii Balance Board is not necessarily required, but if you have one, it's nice to know that Active More Workouts makes better use of it than the first edition did.

Active More Workouts isn't just an addition, it's a complete software package, meaning you don't have to use the first edition in order to get a complete workout. Just pop in this one disc in your Wii, and you're ready to get all the pre-programmed workout programs or create your own sessions out of the great variety of exercises. The program still counts your training time and estimated burned calories.

A couple of downsides, that were already an issue in the first edition:

1. Response to movement of remote/nunchuck -although improved- still isn't perfect.

2. Active More Workouts comes without the necessary leg strap, which forces people to buy the first edition as well, if they don't already own it. This is a major fail in my opinion!

3. I have to get this off my chest... what was EA thinking when they put the resistance band into the first Active package? It's a worthless piece of rubber that doesn't offer any resistance, unless you're under the age of 5. Go out to your local sporting goods store and spend 10-20 bucks on a couple of real resistance bands. That way, you can profit much better from this software.

I've only just got this game, after getting a little bit bored with the first one. Much more interactive than the first one - you don't even realise that you're doing lunges and squat jumps because they're incorporated into fun drills! I'm addicted to EA Active, lost a stone already and this new game will keep me on it!
