I was after this game since launch, but the only thing that delayed me getting it was the reports of faulty controls using Wii Remote. After choosing from a few default settings, I find the controls to be perfect, and it is easy enough to pull of a quick snipe with the zoom button. Using the Wii Zapper makes it even better and more immersive.

The graphics are great for a Wii game, and the plot and action are top notch. As said before, you can be a real spy and pick soldiers off one at a time, or equally as satisfying is going in all gung ho. I am a fair few hours into the single player game, and it may not be the longest campaign mode. But you can revisit levels, do more objectives and follow other paths and of course, it becomes even more difficult and realistic.

I would recommend this for those that want a great single / multiplayer shooter on their wii. The controls can be changed easily, and I would speculate there is a setup to suit anyone - or you could just use a game pad I guess. Though the whole draw for Wii games was the Wii remote controller. But yes, get this game now. Bond is Back - woohoo!!

great game and graphics for the wii very good, however the game is not perfect. Firstly the Wii controller is terrible to use so dont even bother trying, use a classic controller instead. Also its takes forever to unlock guns and gadgets online and there is also no ranking system which is frustrating. You should be up against people of similiar level to yourself however you can be up against people from level 1 to level 56 and sometimes you just get wasted which makes it frustrating and also at times if you have done well in a game you get "host quitting" which means the xp you have earned in the game is lost and doesnt count, again unfair. These minor grumbles aside the game is very addictive and great fun and will keep you playing for a long time. I havent really bothered with the main game as the online is the main selling point. Great game and I would say up there with the best wii games so well worth getting.

Goldeneye is now a excellent 1st person shooter for the Wii.

When I heard Goldeneye was being redone for the Wii it got me very excited because the N64 version was a ground breaking game which had the most amazing four player deathmatch mode. My mates and myself had many hours of fun playing the 1997 classic shooter which is now 14 years old!
I'm glad to say that the four player deathmatch mode is very good on the Wii version and you can have fun playing it online too with up to eight players. My two favourite James Bond henchmen "Oddjob" and "Jaws" are back with another six classic characters included. There are many deathmatch modes for you to enjoy including the two classics like Golden Gun and Paintball. We now have the pleasure of being "Daniel Craig" instead of the original Goldeneye Bond "Pierce Brosnan" because this version is set in present day. The graphics are very good for a Wii game and the music score creates a great atmosphere whilst you are having fun killing baddies in a spy type way. I play this game using a Wii Zapper which comes free with the enjoyable Link's Crossbow Training and it can also be used with the equally fantastic 1st person shooter but more gory Call of Duty: Black Ops. Eurocom have done a wonderful job of revamping this old classic and I'm sure this version will be remembered in fond light too because it's easily in the top three best Wii shooters at the moment.

 Best Wii game so far.....

A brilliant remake and update of one of the most memorable games. The game play is brilliant, whichever way you decide to play it, and indeed there are many ways. My advice - buy it with the Gold Controller. It's easier to play and is shiney. However, during an excellent PaintBall multiplayer game with my partner (who is now HOOKED too) we played using the Wii Remote. This makes the most of the point and movement controls. Much harder to grasp but once you've got it you feel like you're even more within the game. All in all a fantastic game. Not just for the shoot-em-up professional but a game for all. BUY IT. No, really....Now!

Fantastic game that brings back great memories

From the very beginning its clear that Eurocom have taken a lot of effort to bring this game using the classic N64 game as a blueprint. Though the locations have stayed, they are now told in a new way, with different actors, weapons, gadgets taking place over the original. But the ultimate trump card is that of stealth, just like the original you will have to make a conscience choice of silence over guns blazing. My advice is to always get in close for a silent takedown as simple head shots can be quite difficult (even on the lowest difficulty) and usually require a number of well place shots to ensure no other guards hear you. In terms of control, this really is down to your own personal preference, i found the wii remote config "experienced 3" very similar to Medal of honor heroes & Metroid prime 3. Online multiplayer really outshines this time with only a few minor niggles (no wii speak + fiddly bounding boxes on split screen multi )

Overall this is a fantastic game for both old & new gamers that truly shows what the Wii is capable of and finally gives the system a 1st person shooter worthy of the highest honour. For once motion control feels just right !!!!
