Back in 1997 a little game based on the film 'Goldeneye' was released on the N64, it was not known at the time how much this particular game would forever change the first person shooter.
Many people consider this one of the best games of all time and not just the best shooter and who could disagree, revolutionary controls for the time and an immersive Bond universe. 'Goldeneye' is one of the pinnacles in the games industry.

During this years E3 show, Nintendo annouced that activision was working on a re-imaging of the game to come out at the end of the year. Now any fears you have I can put to rest right now because it is great, read on to find out why:

Like stated earlier this is a re-imaging not a remake. While Activision could have probably made the same game just with better graphics they opted to make a new experience and for that I applaude them.

The first notable change is the switch of 'Pierce Brosnan' for the new Bond 'Daniel Craig'. This switch of actors does actually play into the game a bit, as the 'Daniel Craig' bond uses less gadgets and is very much set in more reliality than 'Pierce Brosnan's' Bond was.

Story-wise its pretty much the same with some slight changes to situations and settings, with great results as the game provides loads of 'holy hell' moments and while the main basis is the "Goldeneye Satellite" theres enough new changes to keep you interested.

Gameplay wise this plays more like 'Call of Duty' in pretty much most ways with added Bond flavour. While this may be seen as a bad thing by some people, let me just point out that 'Call of Duty' has the best control scheme in a shooter ever. So why not let this be the standard for most shooters. While Bond this time only really has a phone as his gadget, he does have a great arsenal of weapons and hand to hand takedowns with really cool animations I must add.

This game has alot to offer after completing the main campaign taking about 5-8 hours depeding on difficulty, you then unlock time trails where you have to beat a level in the allocated time. Sounds simple but incredibly hard and addictive. Plus not only that you have multiplayer both split screen and online with great results. The online is probably some of the best the wii has to offer, it has no lag from what I experienced and will keep you playing for hours more.

While this game does have alot of good points in its favour, there are some bad aspects.
The frame rate throughout on the game can get very inconsistent, you may sometimes miss slight moments in the game. Also the voices of the AI can breakup, making it hard to understand them. This is nit picking but all is not great here.

While some people may resist this game, I urge you not too. Its a great shooter experience, and definatly the best on the Wii. It has its problems but they are very minor and shouldn't ruin your experience.

 What a buy!!!!!

One off the best games off the year and anyone who played the old goldeneye game will be very happy with this game. Its as good if not better and the gameplay is fantastic. Buy it now with the gold controller aswell as it is easier to control with it.

 WOOOO!

Since i heard the announcement that Nintendo were going to re-image the classic Goldeneye, i have been counting down the days to its release. Nintendo have done an amazing job too. They have kept the Goldeneye game to its classic and legendary status as one of the best fps games of all time. The graphics, extra bits to the story line, multiplayer and online, just makes this game fun for everyone to enjoy. The controller is cool too; it feels good, looks good and was just made for this game. A must for any gamer who was a fan of the original Goldeneye, you won't be disappointed.

 Amazing

One of the best FPS for the Wii ive ever played.
The graphics and gameplay are very well done and it plays like similar FPS such as Call of Duty but it requires a little bit more skill.
Online is great and easy to play, will keep you interested for hours on end. The golden controller is very nice also and a great quality. a MUST buy for any WII/FPS fans.
