5 Great value and the games aren't bad eitherDarkstar | 19/11/2008 | See all Darkstar's reviews (87)Top 100 Reviewer Top 100 DVD Reviewer Top 100 Games Reviewer Top 100 Music Reviewer Basically for the price this is an absolute bargain. Not only do you get a game but also an official Nintendo controller and the best part is it is actually cheaper than buying a controller separately. Don't be fooled into getting it from a high street shop though as they are charging ridiculous prices for this. I've seen it advertised in Game for £42.99 instead of £29.99, how they justify that I just don't know.So what about the games themselves, well they are all fun to play and require different skills. Even though they are specifically designed to make the most out of your controller they are still fun games in their own right. Some are more difficult than others and therefore their level of enjoyment will also differ. The best part of these games though is getting someone to play along with you and try to beat them. My favourite games are shooting, table tennis which is really good fun (and can be quite tricky) and the game where you have to find different characters in different situations, a bit like where's Wally.Overall if you want a controller just buy this package instead, you get more for your money, pay less and if you don't like the game, give it to someone else.
4 Wii Playstash69 | 16/11/2007 | See all stash69's reviews (1)Indeed people are misunderstanding the concept of this game. It is designed solely as a tool to get people familiar with the wii remote, hence the twisting, pulling, turning on it's side etc. It basically offers an almost free remote and a few hours fun, the cow racing alone is worth the extra couple of pounds.I think people are missing out on the whole philosophy of what Nintendo are trying to bring to the masses, they don't want us seduced by poor games with superb graphics, if you are then the Wii isn't the machine for you. They want people playing together and having fun together, Grandparents playing Tennis and Bowling because they know how to swing a bat/racquet etc without having to know special combos on the joypads, this is why the Wii is written as it is, with the 2 iis representing 2 people together, even thats innovative like most things Nintendo do.The reviewers are correct, it isn't a great game, but it never set out to be, it is a teaching aid for a fiver extra and as such is excellent value - people should just enjoy this product.
5 Definitely worth itViviIX | 09/11/2008 | See all ViviIX's reviews (5)This is a no brainer buy if you need a second remote. Right now, the Wiimote alone is £30, and this Wiimote+Wii Play is £28. You're paying £2 less for the Wii Play game added on top.I myself bought this at RRP £35, and was still happy with the purchase. Some of the games aren't as short as others, and you can still go back to play them even months after buying it. Some other games, like the fishing and rotating bubbles one, are a lot less fun.Since a certain (i'll leave nameless) Wiimote charger left both of my Wiimotes burnt out recently, I'll definitely give this a buy. Even if you want another two Wiimotes on top of your first, buy this package twice and give away the second Wii Play for christmas.Great deal. 5/5 for the price being below RRP of a stand alone Wiimote.
1 Cheap controller with a free coasterRevolutionBlues | 14/01/2008 | See all RevolutionBlues's reviews (31)Games are awful, with sub-PSOne graphics. But you get a cheap controller which is good.So just ignore the hyperbole and high scores from the rather too enthusiastic fans: like most people - and me - you'll buy this for the additional controller and use the disk to set your coffee.
