Zumba Fitness (With Fitness Belt)

Couldn't wait for this to arrive and having collected it from the post office last night couldn't wait to get started on it!! I'm a huge fan of Zumba and this doesn't dissappoint. Great for beginners as there are step by step tutorials and great for Zumba fans with knowledge of the steps. Some of the songs on the disc are the same songs that we do in class but different routines. You can't help but shake your stuff as the music is so infectious! Hopefully you will be able to buy additional belts soon so that you can get your mates involved as well. The only downside I found was that my belt did keep moving and I had to keep putting it back onto my hip - maybe I didn't have it tight enough. Anyway, LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!!

I bought this as the class I attended was growing every week and I'm not disappointed. As another reviewer said, it contains lots of the tracks I Zumba'd to at the class but with different moves but the music is just as addictive!! Haven't had any problems with it saying I've 'done good' when I've completely messed up the moves! Having the different levels encourages you to work harder so you get the extra people dancing behind the instructor!!

I bought the Zumba DVD's from another website but this game outshines those by miles. This is definately worth every penny and will save me a fortune in class fee's!! Only gripe is the belt; it slips if not tight enough and sometimes ends up around the front.

Would I recommend to friends?? Already have!! All thats left to do is graduate from the beginners workout to the intermediate!!

I love this game, I had heard alot about Zumba and wanted to have a go, well I am pleased I did. Not only does this game make you work hard, but you have alot of fun as well. I thought the step by step instructions at the beginning very good, but the best way to get the steps is go for it and have fun, the moves and the steps you start to get. The first time I used this game I was on it for 3hrs.
If you think you are fit, then like myself you maybe wrong as this makes you heart rate go very high and you really feel like you have worked very hard. I am now very tone and I am sure have lost more weight.
It did make my asthma play up a bit at the beginning, but with regular use this all calmed down.
The only thing I would say is they need to maybe look at the belt again, this was not a major problem as I just sew extra velcro on it and it seems to stay in place very well now.
If you want a fun and exciting work out get this is makes you smile and feel good about yourself.

This fitness game covers all levels from beginner to Expert, and it does help if you have done dance classes before (not necessarily Zumba, but any style of dance). However if you are not used to exercising and perhaps have never danced before I would probably recommend Wii Fit Plus with the balance board, rather than Zumba Fitness because you may find the Zumba moves even at the beginners level too challenging. I know this because I have previous tap/modern/ballet dance experience and I picked it up incredibly easily. However my mum who has never danced before and doesn't do any exercise (besides housework and walking the dog!), found it too difficult and just gave up. She said she was really disappointed she couldn't do it, but she just didn't enjoy it because she found it too difficult. However she does enjoy listening to the music when I am exercising! The Zumba music is great!

This actually works better than the Wii game 'Just Dance'. It is more accurate. If you've got Just Dance you will know what I mean. You could be doing the move exactly right and it says you are only doing it 'ok' rather than 'great', and it is based on points so obviously the more 'great's' you get, the more points you get, and if it's not accurate you are not getting an accurate score. With Zumba Fitness, the instructor's comments are more appropriate and accurate. He or She says 'Keep going' if you're slacking, or 'great! You've got it!', which encourages you to work even harder and burn more calories! At the end of the Zumba Party or Zumba Class it will give you an overall score. I don't really find having a score relevant for just one player, but if you've got two or more players, you may want to compete against each other.

You are provided with a Zumba belt where you slot the Wii mote in the front. The belt often slips up whilst you are exercising which is a minor glitch but it doesn't really bother me that much. I just pull it back down and tighten it a bit more so it won't slip.

All in all, it covers a variety of dance styles, however my favourite part has to be the 'Cool Down' Belly Dance for obvious reasons! By the end of the workout I am completely out of breath, and am really sweating so I welcome the 'cool down' at the end, plus the music is great!

Got this game this morning as I've wanted to try Zumba for a while, but shift work means I have little time to attend a class. I did 2 tutorials and the beginner routines 1 and 2. This took around 50 minutes, and the sweat was pouring off me by the end! Gross I know, but just goes to show how well this Zumba workout gets you moving.

I am a complete beginner, and got a bit tangled up with some moves, but I've never done it before, so it can only get better.

Although the interface looks similar to Just Dance and Just Dance 2, I found it miles better. Zumba Fitness rewards your effort, not just when you get the moves EXACTLY right. So if you get stuck, you can always keep moving to the beat and catch up when you're ready. This allows you to continue working out without just staring blankly at the screen when a move is slightly on the hard side. The classes are also split into little 3-5 min sections so you get a bit of a breather and a change of music and routine.

The only fault I could find is that it would be nice if it gave some information about calories burned etc after a workout, but thats just a minor niggle! You know you're burning them off, you can really feel it.

Definitely a must have addition to the Wii fitness collection.
