Comment:Brand New & Sealed UK PAL from Video Game Box. We ship from England, UK

Nintendo's Wii U is a new console that includes a controller with a 6.2-inch screen. Adding a second screen to the living room creates a multitude of new video game experiences while offering families a variety of options to customize their entertainment.

Previously, video games played on a home console have been confined to the TV and offered identical viewpoints to each player in a multiplayer environment. Furthermore, watching TV and playing console games have been completely separate experiences. The new controller removes these boundaries, creating a more dynamic and fluid gaming and entertainment experience.

Wii U Features:

In addition to introducing new ways to play, Wii U also offers users a variety of non-gaming features to enhance the overall experience.

Miiverse: Miiverse is a brand-new network communication system that lets gamers from around the world share experiences, discuss games and discover new content. Using their personalized Mii character, players enter Miiverse and see games, applications or entertainment content that either they have interacted with recently, expressed interest in learning more about or that their friends are using or discussing. From here they can challenge their friends to play together, ask a question about a difficult level or discover new elements of their favorite games they never knew existed. After a notable achievement or other share-worthy moment, players can pause their game or application and seamlessly post messages to the Miiverse community.

TV remote: The Wii U GamePad controller may also function as an infrared TV remote, whether users are watching TV or playing a game.

Near Field Communication (NFC): The Wii U GamePad has the ability to communicate wirelessly with objects that are held above it. This allows for a variety of interesting new possibilities for games and activities.

Nintendo eShop: The digital storefront for Wii U will be available at launch and offer a variety of content for people to download and enjoy. Consumers will also be able to purchase and download select games that are also available at retail stores.

Video entertainment: Nintendo is working with Netflix, Hulu Plus, Amazon Instant Video, and YouTube to bring video experiences to Wii U that will take advantage of the integrated second-screen experience. Additional details will be released at a later time.

Video chat: Using the built-in camera of the Wii U GamePad, people can communicate with other Wii U owners in real time.

Internet browser: Wii U comes with a browser that lets people with a wireless Internet connection surf the Internet from the comfort of their couches.

this is a great machine really do like it but...
i bought the basic model as i dont download much or films so i thought 8gb plenty for what i want
but when i started it up i found out that out of the 8gb you only get 3gb to save onto and the size of some of the updates for games this will so go.. why say its an 8gb when you only get to use 3gb
just be warned people 8gb doesnt mean 8gb storage

this is a great system. great launch titles and it seems as though nintendo has really got there act together online too. there are loads of features, and apps, great online store and the promise of some great exclusives. please stop letting fanboys comment on these systems.

I really don't see the point in this, tried it and really didnt like it. The screen on the controller is pointless as you have to look away from your tv to use it without pausing or if you do pause you dont need to look down at it. All these "NEW" functions apart from the stupid screen are on every other console.
Graphic are nothing to write home about, this is not Next Gen its not on par with the Xbox or the PS3, I would even say the vita is better. So I would say get a vita if you have a PS3 and you have pretty much the same thing. If you have anything like an Xbox 360 then just wait for Microsofts next offering.
Seriously not worth the money and I really don't know why on so many levels. You can't even watch Blu rays on this sad offering by Nintendo. I would say to anyone just wait for the PS4 or Xbox 720.
I also recommend that anyone with young children to avoid this also, sticky fingers on the screen and it costs a bomb to replace.... please stay away.

Tidy console will only get better

Being a gaming fanatic I purchased this to replace my wii, you can transfer all your old dl content from old wii to new and Graphics are on par with if not slightly sharper than Xbox 360 and PS3. I own many consoles and to the person who reviewed it 1 star that is a joke, PS Vita isn't very good admittedly but that in itself can only get better if it has time. This console aims to be innovative and its doing a fine Job, i do prefer my Xbox 360 for the more pick up and play games but this is for those family nights. I would have given it 4 star but I added the extra to make up for the 1star review. :-)
