Xenoblade Chronicles

If you only buy one more game before the Nintendo Wii U comes out then make sure you buy Xenoblade Chronicles because it is a epic game which should not be missed by rpg lovers. The comat system feels very fresh and is easy to master and the story line is very touching which might bring a tear to your eye. The voice acting is most excellent for a game and they have used British isles actors which makes a nice change. The graphics really blew me away and at times I have been amazed, just how good a Wii game can look when the hardware is pushed to it's limits. The world that you explore is very vast and built around these two massive titans which have been frozen in time. I must say the music score is fantastic and matches the on screen action very well indeed. There are hundreds of different creatures which you encounter on your quest as you process through this mind blowing game which will keep you gripped until the end. Do you have what it takes to master the Monado which is a ancient sword, that allows you to see into the future?
Xenoblade Chronicles is the best JRPG since Final Fantasy XII and we are very lucky indeed to have this game on the Nintendo Wii.

I did not buy this at release because I was not sure but after seeing it is 91 plus reviews I had to give it a go. As a long time gamer this totally renewed my love for RPG's. Graphics are good for the Wii and the world is so beautiful it looks to equal any HD PS3 or XBox360 game in vidual effects. The world is open and you will be happily surprised with the size and volume of this game.

Characters are well balanced and easy to swop in and out of your fighting group depending on your situation and just how much fun you're having. This game really comes a live with the story and combat. The story is one of the best in any RPG with plenty of war and death to make you want to travel the world in revenge. There are many new ideas in the ways characters interact with each other and all make the game much the better.

The combat system may be similar to other RPG's. Physical attacks, magic attack, curing and protecting but Xenoblade Chronicals adds much more with chains, breaks, and a new system to fight mechanical enemies. The conrols are very easy to use. I used the Classic Controller and it's as easy to use as any console RPG.

In the end I just could not fault this game in any way. There is so many side quests and things to do like crafting, hunting rare monsters, rebuilding a small city. You will never run out of things to do. This is a truely beautiful game and I am instantly a fan. Definitely a must own for any Wii gamer.

I gave it 5 stars but out of 100 it would have to be easily a 94/95.

Nintendo created a masterpiece. The best JRPG you will ever play. So emotional, the narative is fantastic and the gameplay is flawless. Had this been released on a hd console, not a single person would care about skyrim. This is a feat of gaming. Buy it. Now.

This is a wonderful game.
I have played many RPG's in my time, but none have come close to this in depth and immersion.
I am 100 hours in and still not finished, so many side quests and exploring keep it going on for ages, but not in a dragged out sort of way.
If you own a Wii, this is a must buy!

This is one of those games that really isnt being done justice by nintendo's woefully weak consol. However, even with that said, this game is damn right awesome. To be honest it would be a waste of your, the readers, time to say what has already been said in praise of this game by the other reviewers here.

So instead ill just give some advice.

Buy this game, jump on your computer, download Dolphin, and port this game to your computer. With dolphin running this game on a 'gaming' computer, you can see Xenoblade in true 1920 x 1080 HD with 'internal resolutions' of up to 2560x 2112, and if you have a truley monster of a computer u can add 9x SuperSampling Anti Alaising (SSAA). Only then will you truely see how great this game is.
I will add though, Dolphin is not 100% full proof, it will crash, BUT Xenoblade has a save anytime feature so no worries.

So yea, if you have a Wii, just buy this game, u cant go wrong, even if you dont a computer to port it to, u should still be pleased with the game itself dispite the graphics.

Easily the best JRPG for Wii and every current system.

Amazing Graphics and Music...with a story to remember.

YOU HAVE TO PLAY IT!

It's September 2011 and the game is sold out practically everywhere. Nintendo had no idea how well this game would perform and as a result underestimated its demand in Europe. A combination of pleasing critics across the board and fantastic gamer reviews has created a huge surge in sales, which means it will be some weeks, perhaps even months before everyone who wants a copy of this game gets one as Nintendo hurriedly creates more copies, but is it worth the wait?

YES. It's a brilliant game, all the reviews on here to date are correct. A true masterpiece for the Wii, and arguably the best (J)RPG from the Nintendo world of gaming for a good many years. This will never be a game that ends up regulated to the dusty back shelves of "pre-owned".

All the games mechanics have been seriously thought about, everything flows easily, the voice acting and storyline are superb. Honestly it is very difficult to fault, so rather than go on about how awesome it all is, the bits that wont work so well for some people (in my opinion) are listed below:

Best you don't buy this game if you are looking for any of the following:
- Wii remote swinging and slashing action
- A quick game you can finish over a weekend
- A whole bucket load of blood and gore
- Mutiplayer action

If none of the above bothers you too much I would strongly urge you to buy a copy from PLAY now. Then wait until Xenoblade comes back into stock, knowing in the very near future an epic combination of story and game will be winging it's way to you.

After hunting high and low for this game I was forced to pay over the odds from somewhere else but I can't say I was too bothered - this game is probably one of the best I've played on the Wii - it's very much in the style of the Final Fantasy games. Graphics are good (for the Wii) and gameplay is easy to pick up. If you own a Wii and like FF games - then dust it off and buy this game - you wont regret it.

Is the game (skills, quests, manual...) 100% in spanish (except voices) ??

Ever since seeing the teaser trailers a year or so ago I thought Xenoblade would only get a release in Japan. How shocked I was to see it getting a release date for Europe and not even in the US!

Xenoblade plays in as free as an RPG world as you can get. The maps are massive and you are left to wander around of your own free will for as much as you please. At a first glimpse it looks more like a Western Role Playing Game than a Japanese one. The backdrops are quite simply beautiful for a Wii game and the British cast for the voice acting is great.

There are tons of side-quests to follow and a great deal of non player characters to interact with. Enemies are plentiful too and the battle system in this game is not exactly unique but different enough to hold your interest.

I would have given this game a 5 star rating so far - I am about 30 hours in - but I feel that in some areas Xenoblade is not a fully polished game. Xenoblade lacks the graphics you would find on the 360 or PS3, mainly due to the fact it is indeed a weaker system. It is however, the best JRPG of its generation. Final Fantasy XIII on the other systems cannot even compete, with its tired out battle system and its terrible linearity.

In short, if you like JRPGs and have a Wii, get this game. You will not regret it I promise you.
