I broke my golden rule of buying a game before reviews came out. Being a fan of war games, I just couldn't resist. I can safely say I made the right choice. First off, there are hours and hours of gameplay to be had. Having flu over the weekend, I had a chance to get a lot of playtime in. The controls work well, commands you give your squad are a breeze to use. The graphics are very good, especially if you compare it to some of the similar games like this on the Wii. Negatives? No online play, which was taken out. And when the game saves, it pauses for a second or so. But it only happens when there is no fighting going on, so it ain't so bad. It isn't as smooth running as say MOH 2 also. But if you want a more immersive WW2 game, and one that makes you feel like you are in battle, then this definitely one to get.

         Oh What a Lovely War!

I bought Double Time expecting and anticipating some good old fashion "run about like a loon, shooting nazis, take down the 3rd Reich single handed"
It was not to be....And I am happier for it!!

BiA's brings you right into the war with a bang!! You are quickly brought up to date with the simple and easy to pick up controls, shown your squad commanding actions and then sent straight in too the Melee!

This game really needs you to use your head and work the squad properly and its this feature which pulls you into the game! No longer do you look to charge down a platoon on your own, now you can pin down the enemy with controlled fire while you look to flank you foe with deadly results! Or order your men to charge down the defenders and take no prisoners!

The AI is spot on! Soldiers will shout if they are in a poor position, under fire or even call you to keep you head down! No longer will you watch one of your buddies stand in open ground, with a big smile on their face as they get riddled by bullets!

BiA does let itself down by the lack of multiplayer! I'm not sure why it got cut, but its a real shame! This could have been one of the best fps multi's out now for the wii!

The motion controls work well but don't push the envelope. Wiimote is used to aim, melee attack and throw grenades. The melee attack isn't as rapid as you would hope and stabbing forwards is my tip for getting the best result.
The Nunchuck is used to call your squad back to you, but all other orders are issued with a "point and click" from the mote.

Lets not forget that your getting 2!!! Count em!!! 2!!! games here!

If the multiplayer had been included, this would be a 5 star!
Without, its a shot in the foot, 4 star! But 4.5 star would be closer!

A great game with nothing left to lose! Pick it up now!
        Your Country Needs You!!

I have this and brothers in arms 3 on the ps3 and i would have to say that this is at least as good as bia3 - even though the graphics are nowhere near as good as the ps3 the gameplay just feels "right" - hard to quantify but it just does. Well worth the money

         This game is awesome

What makes this game different to the usual shoot 'em up is that it is based on true events and authentically recreates the buildings and landscape in 1944. It also includes documented history and photographs of these battles during and after D-Day, it also has a fantastic musical score throughout.
If you liked the TV series Band of Brothers, you will love this.
