good fun and hours of frustation all at the same time!

This game will keep you entertained for hours. I'm pretty good at completing games, and have a steady hand but I'm still trying to complete it. Those who say they completed it in an hour have probably not realised there are other levels and party modes to unlock! For a game of this price I think it is hard to beat, but if you are easily frustrated and your fine motorskills leave a lot to be desired - dont buy it!

i bought this game because i saw it really cheap only wen i went on it it was rubbish. the graphics are very bad and the game is pretty frustrating. all it is really is a lump of mercury and you have to roll around obstacles thats all you do i would not recommend this to any one at all unless your looking for a very boring game!

  Thoroughly compelling

This game is a gem, and even more so when it's heavily discounted. The graphics are charming, the sound-track decent and varied, and the physics and tilt controls spot on. Loads of levels of huge variety - whoever said they completed it in two hours obviously missed all but the first lab, duh. This is proving by far the most addictive and compelling game we have.

the original was a lot better

i bought this game last year expecting it to be improved from the highly fun but hard original. i found the levels sort of the same and even though they added some things, it could have been made a little more different. mabye the jump from psp to the wii was a little too big for mercury but there wasn't the same feeling to continue after you fail as there was in the original. there are much better games for the wii in my opinion.

  Not loving this

This was a real let down for me, I liked the controls and the graphics and gameplay was OK, but after one session on it, I never went back and sold it. Never really gripped me. I suggest you only buy this game if you love puzzle games, If you like more action in ur games then avoid.

  Good game

Uses Wii controls excellently, graphics are good, but not next gen, though it doesn't need great graphics. Good level progression and party games too such as rodeo and racing. worth a buy if can get for £20 or so

A game that requires more patience than I had

You need a steady hand and bags of patience to get far in this game. Sadly I didnt devote much time to this after failing abysmally at the first few levels.

Having said that, the game is stunning. The mercury changes colour and moves very fluidly, you can even see the little swirls on the outside of it like real mercury has. It is easy to get the hang of the controls and you can dive straight into the game without going through a long tutorial first. The object of the game is simple - get your little blob of mercury from one end of the maze to the other intact. However, put in your way are lots of obstacles and things to fall off of!

If this game had multiplayer levels, I would have loved it and probably spent more time playing. As a single player, I gave up pretty quickly.

  well worth that money

This is a good game, but not a great one. The puzzles are tricky from the outset, but not so hard as to prevent progress. You will need a steady hand and some lateral thinking to achieve the highest scores, but the locked mini-games can be unlocked quickly by collecting bonus stars. The only problem is the lack of 2 player action. The main game is 1 player only and I can see no way of playing the party games against a friend, as it suggests you can. Therefore you are left with a solid and lasting 1 player game and some mildly entertaining mini-games, if the main action becomes too much. Well worth 3 stars in my opinion and if it were around £20, it would be a worthwhile addition to anyone's Wii games collection.
