Hi - 4 handicap golfer and sports psychologist here. I help a lot of golfers Pro and Am alike and often suggest to ams that they try a few holes of computer golf to improve confidence and mental game (it really does work). I wont be recommending this however. The hitting is ok but the draw/fade is so hit and miss if your swinging properly. As for chipping...nothing like the real thing and no where as intuitive to power as wii sports chipping. If they had the chipping right this would be a great game but desperate to make the buck and solve the problem next eyar EA have left the result cold.

         Awful.

I was really looking forward to this version of Tiger Woods, but sadly the controls are so bad that it is almost unplayable. Alot of the time, the shot happens when you're only halfway through your backswing.... and if that doesn't happen, its likely that you'll get stuck at the top of the backswing and have to swing the club twice.

Given that the selling point of the Wii version is the controls, they have really dropped the ball here.

         great but annoying

When i first got my wii, this was the game i was most looking forward to buying. When i first played it, i found it difficylt however it gave me the incentive to keep playing. After getting used to the game i started to enjoy it. However, on occasions when i swing back it would take my shot and hit it at 40% power. I thoughtit was my swing for that shot so thought no more of it. However it became more perisitant and really irrateted me. Other people who i know who have played the game have had the same problem. So i am getting rid which is a shame because the actual game play is fantastic. The fed ex cup etc is brilliant but the "glich" (as i like to call it) has put a downer on what could be the best game ever.

In conclusion, i do recommend the game and hope that the same issues dont happen to you as they did with me.

         Family Fun

I bought this game for my Dad on Father's Day and I have no regrets at all! We play it all the time and have such a laugh! I definitely recommend this game. Very highly indeed!

         AS GOOD AS IT GETS!

This is the way golf was meant to be played. No lugging heavy golf clubs around or walking over miles of freezing English countryside, play the perfect round from the comfort of your own PJ's!
The swing mechanics have been greatly improved and the putting is quite simply perfect. There is no longer any need to read the exact distance of the putt or exactly how many inches right you should aim... just step up, guage the green by eye and hit the ball the way you would if you were on the green.
With plenty tournaments and fun additional games, Tiger Woods '08 scores an eagle every time!
The bottom line is ...GET IT NOW!
