 Ahh....Just like the old days...

I'd seen this title in the shops but wasn't sure what to make of it, it looked like an action type game. But boy was I wrong! I was reccomended this title because of what it really was...if you're a fan of the old point-and-click adventure games that you'd normally find on the PC, then this game is DEFINITELY for you! It was very reminiscant of the old Broken Sword games for example (Or Monkey Island if you prefer!).

If i'm correct in saying so, this WAS actually on the PC. So the game is identical, even the controls. So if you were expecting more use of the Wii remote's technology, you'll be disappointed. It's just a simple point and click with the remote and walking about with the nunchuk stick. Regardless, the game itself is good fun. The voice acting makes it less dull than reading lots and lots of dialogue and the puzzles range in difficulty (watch out for the coin puzzle!). You might find yourself stuck and frustrated at points (but isn't that expected from these types of games?!). Just keep at it and you'll find the answer eventually! There's also a diary that records information on what's happened so far on the adventure and also gives tips if you're stuck but isn't totally reliable if you're truly stuck. And if you resort to using your inventory on EVERYTHING until you can progress (yes, I had to resort to that a few times...) then the game will show you whether that item combination will in fact work. And if you press the 1 button then you can see all the items on screen you can interact with - handy if you missed a small item on screen! Anyway, enough rambling...If you liked Broken Sword/Monkey Island/Simon Sorceror games etc etc then I really do reccomend this title! And if you enjoy it, there's gonna be a sequel!

 ...missed my adventure years.

Exactly what i wanted and hoped for. A classic point n' click adventure. A game that reminded me my youth. My first games, my best games...Loom, Monkey Island, Kings Quest, Legend Of Kyrandia and many more. So Secret Files: Great story, nice gameplay, good acting and great (yes great wii) graphics.

P.S: Waiting for Sam n Max
