For all of you that complain about Wii's mediocre quality games, this is your chance to give a message to the companies that prefer making low-budget rubbish games.
Zack and Wiki is the game Wii was meant for. Clever, near perfect design, awesome story and the best gameplay you'll find on this console.
This game needs our support, not only because it's a top quality Wii game, but because we need to show to 3rd party studios that Wii consumers support quality products.
Don't throw your money on cheap-mediocre-low-budget Wii titles.
Buy Zack and Wiki
Instead of being an idiot who buys rubbish purely because it's cheap, thereby helping to decrease the chance of GOOD games being released in the UK, why don't you try something different and buy a GOOD game, like this for example.
I really hope this game gets the deserved sales in this country.. or are some people going to look at the cover and the name and think it's daft and for kids 'sigh' I hope not.
First couple of levels are easy to get you into it of course, but after that it's pretty tough and very rewarding when you work out the puzzles.
JUST BUY IT.
An original 3rd party title well worth your money. It takes the old point and click adventure genre to a higher level, thanks to the Wii remote. Sure, the graphics are cartoony (beautiful, nevertheless) and the characters sound like they scream in Japanese (thankfully they don't talk much), but these are minor flaws. You will find new items and a new use for your Wii remote in every stage. You can't find this kind of gameplay on any other console.
Don't let the colourful graphics fool you. This is not a kiddie game. You will see the game over screen quite a few times as you progress. It starts easy but gets tricky soon and that's the 5th stage I'm at.
If you like puzzle/adventure games, you should definitely get this one. Too bad, it wasn't advertised at all and very few know/heard about this game. It really is a little gem amongst all the crap coming out for the Wii.
First off, as mentioned by others, yes its whole presentation is very childish (though presented excellantly) - you have to look past that, and enjoy a game that underneath its looks is superb and fiendish adventure / puzzler.
Its essentially a point and click game (using the wiimote), with each level being one big puzzle to try and get to the treasure chest that is showed to you at the outset. What makes this game so great, is the fact it utilises the wiimote better than any other game on the Wii, integrating its use fully in the puzzle solving of each level.
Not only that but the levels / puzzles themselves are so well thought out, with logical thinking being required 90% of the time to reach the goal. Though one small gripe is that the other 10% of the time is trial and error, which i have found to detract slightly from the overall experiance.
However, overall, if you love adventure games with fiendish puzzles, coupled with the best execution of the Wiimote - you wont be disappointed.
