James Cameron's Avatar: The Game is the official videogame based on the highly anticipated film James Cameron's Avatar. The videogame will take you deep into the heart of Pandora, an alien planet that is beyond imagination. Gamers will encounter the Na'vi, Pandora's indigenous people and discover other life forms the likes of which have never been seen in the world of videogames before. When conflict erupts between the RDA Corporation, a space-faring consortium in search of valuable resources, and the Na'vi, gamers will find themselves thrust into a fight for the heart of a planet and the fate of a civilisation.

Immerse yourself in James Cameron's world. Peer deep into the heart of Pandora and see James Cameron's universe, from your own perspective.

Engage in a massive conflict between two worlds. Fight for you cause: RDA or Na'vi. Customise more than 60 RDA and Na'vi weapons, combined. Choose your skills: 20 for each clan. Drive all of the vehicles and ride the animals. Expand the battleground in online multiplayer.

Develop your character and acquire new skills. Create your very own character and acquire skills as you progress through the game.

     Fantastic! Be the Na'vi!

The Xbox 360 and PS3 will give the great graphics and HD of the game that will let you see it well, but the Wii lets you be in the game. You control a Na'vi warrior and fight for them. The Wii Balance Board lets you experience the land of Pandora even more. A fantastic game and soon to be movie.

Avatar : The Game (Wii) Missleading special features !!

Having bought Avatar on Wii, which I am thoroughly enjoying, I was dissapointed to see the special features claim that you can play as either RDA or Na'vi, which with the Wii game you can't. You can only play as Na'vi (unless I have a different game version ?) which is'nt bad anyway as you get to blast the bad guys. The instructions also only give details of how to act as a Na'vi warrior. The graphics are great, and the motion plus gives the game an extra sense of control with the Wasp. I hope there isn't two versions, as I would have preferred the one where you can play either side.

Avatar is a great action adventure game with MotionPlus!

The graphics for Avatar are very good and caputure the look of James Cameron's most wonderful film. Avatar has a great co-op mode where two players can simultaneously play the game at any time, even if you have already started in single player which is ace. The Wii MotionPlus controls for the Hellfire Wasp are brilliant. If you have a Wii Balance board then you can use it to ride on the back of a mighty flying Banshee creature which is very majestic. Rai'uk has two main weapons one is a Staff in which you use your Wii Remote and if you are sneaky you can perform cool stealth attacks from behind or from jumping out of a tree landing on top of your enemy. The other weapon is a deadly bow which is great for hunting down your prey. You use your Nunchuk for guiding your hero around the levels using the stick which works very well. The story is set two years before the film if you haven't seen the film it won't ruin it for you. Overall this is one of the best Wii games based on a Hollywood blockbuster which is a must have game for fans of the movie.

     Good game, Bad Description!

    | | See all StuartJKing's reviews (1)

Like most of the people on this wall, I find this game good. It is a far step from the magnitude of the film, but it's still worth getting. If it is priced above 20 pounds then I wouldn't recommend it. Like some people have pointed out, the game doesn't include the ability to play as both RDA and Na'vi. You are restricted to just the Na'vi. The gameplay itself is a wee bit repetitive, but it makes up for this with b-e-a-u-tiful graphics, by far the best i've seen on the Wii.
Overall it's a good game, at a great price, but can be a little bit sketchy at points.
    Happy New Year!

     Bad Description

I was very excited when I bought the game but it turned out to be disappointed. You can't choose between Na'vi and RDA, you're a Na'vi (which doesn't even star in the film) all the way through the game. All you have to do is wander around with a bow and arrow and kill RDA, It doesn't even follow the film's storyline. What I don't understand is why the Wii version is the only game that's different?! Xbox 360 and PS3 versions are accurate to this description but it isn't for the Wii. It different, repetitive and bad value for money.
