Using the Wii Remote, players simply point at the screen and direct the man with the ball as to where they want him to run by clicking in the open space. However, it's what happens with your teammates that will prove to be the defining moment of this latest PES. Users will be able to click on other members of their side and tell them where to run, to perform one-two passes or make them create space by dragging away defenders.
It will be possible to manipulate as many players as you can quickly get control of to make set pieces become a vital part of the attacking play. Make forwards run across goal, defenders will spin and attack the back post while the towering striker makes a dart

This game does what the "PS3 or 360" versions couldnt do. the Wii version actually does what it says in the title it "Evolved" the series and now its the best version out. this will truely be a gr8t gaming experience.
Much more fun than FIFA, here you really feel as if you are creating the goals rather than hoofing the ball upfield and hoping a striker latches onto it.
Easy to get into, despite having a control system unlike any other football game - but with plenty of options if you feel the need to get very fancy. At first the tackling may seem rather basic - but if you go through all the training sesisons you soon learn that it is quite sophisticated. Shooting by swinging the nunchuck is much more satisfying than jabbing at buttons, only a complete idiot would prefer the old method.
The only problems with the game are the made up teams, and the fact that selecting a player causes his name and stats to appear above his head - which can obscure the action if you're playing at the top of the pitch.
The last guy who wrote a review saying it was fantastic and that he doesnt play footy games but likes this one because he can play it sums everything up,THIS GAME IS NOT WHY WE LOVE PRO,the reason most of us are big fans of the pro series is because its a skillful game and takes skill and practice 2score goals etc in this edition u SWING ur nunchuck 2shoot at goal and that says it all, where is the skill involved in that?the defending feels like your never properly in control either but for me the way of shooting just kills everything pro evolution fans love about the series its sad when you think your nan could even score on this game,im sure this game is good on other consoles as the controls will be like normal pro games but as for on the wii if ur a fan of footy games and a real pro fan DONT BUY

PES 2008 also enjoys a strong online element, allowing users to play 'Free Matches' against unknown opponents, or 'Friend Matches' against people on the Wii's Friends list, while team data can also be sent to friends via the console's WiiConnect24 system.
Im a big fan of the PES series, when i saw it was coming out on Wii i was a little dubious. i wasnt sure how the wii's controls would suit the game. But after playing it, i was blown away. It does exactly what it says on the advert, gives you total control of your players. you can choose exactly where to place the ball direct your team accordingly. the graphics aren't quite as good as the 360,but thats only a minor point. the GAMEPLAY is ALOT better than the PS3 and 360.
i admit,it does take a little while to get used to,but once you do, you'll love it!
It might be worth renting it before you buy it,so you can see whats its like. I did.. and i went out and bought it afterwards
