Review

Guilty Gear XX: Accent Core features over 20 deadly combatants and includes an alternate EX version of all the existing characters. On top of all this, the game also introduces two reinvented fighters, A.B.A. and Order-Sol, who have never been seen outside of Japan.

Accent Core makes maximum use of the Wii control system, allowing players to move characters with the control pad on the Nunchuk and use the Wii Remote for both simple and special attacks. Some of the less powerful attacks are mapped on the Wii Remote buttons and the special attacks are executed through both button and movement with the Nunchuk or the Wii Remote.

Now just to start off i havent played the guilty gears series before, this is my first one and yes i have played it.

When i started to play this, it instantly reminded me of jo jo bizzare adventure on the dreamcast, the moves, the mania, the gameplay, all just like it. The problem is the game gets very repetitive too quickly, its good for short bursts, some things are annoying, such as the annoucer saying rock on before the fight? no idea why.

But overall its a good game, not to everyone tastes, but its better to look at some of vids on youtube first, in order to see if this title applies to you.

Customer rating: 3 out of 5 stars Unfairly Difficult

Guilty Gear continues it's huge flashy heavy metal 2D fighting series with Accent Core.
But this is where the fun parts end. As I found out the hard way; the final boss is unfairly difficult to defeat and with nothing much to do other than fight all the time it doesn't carry the fun mini games that the DS game Dust Strikers had.
If you enjoy hacky, flashy and rocky then buy this game, otherwise get a better fighting game.
