I have been a fan of Zelda games since the NES days back in the late 1980's and I also enjoyed playing a game called Duck Hunt on the NES too which used a cool light gun. When I saw the Wii Zapper came free with the game called Link's Crossbow Training and that the Wii Zapper could be used for these two excellent 1st person shooters which are, Goldeneye 007 and Call of Duty: Black Ops it was a must have buy in my opinion.
Link's Crossbow Training is a very enjoyable target practice game against a onslaught of many different enemies and other fun targets whilst standing still or on the move when using the control stick for Link's movements. There are three different types arrows for your crossbow weapon which are normal arrows (default) , exploding arrows and automatic arrows. To get yourself a exploding arrow you have to hold the B Button untill the crosshair flashes. You receive the automatic arrows by defeating a enemy which is flashing green. Automatic arrows fire very fast in rapid succession but are limited and when they run out you will go back to your normal default arrows. Link has some great ways of transport like going down a river by a canoe and on the back of a cool chariot. At the end of each level you are awarded a medal if you do good enough which consist of bronze, silver, and gold. Bronze is easy to win and to get silver you have to be pretty good at the game. Gold medals are very hard to win and you must be very fast and know that level like the back of your hand.
The Wii Zapper is a brilliant little device which really brings the 1st person shooters that I mentioned before to life and makes them easier to play too. For all you Zelda fans this is a great little game to have which will keep you busy until the release of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword which takes advantage of Wii MotionPlus.
i ordered it two days ago off playtrade and i recieved it today, really happy and impressed about that!!
for the product itself the wii controller and the nun chuck fit nicely and are neatly slotted in!! the wires have a compartment where the wire for the nun chuck fits in!!
link's crossbow is a great addition along with the zapper itself!! surprisingly it is a great and fun game with practice, solo and multiplayer modes!!! real great fun and gives you a great feel for the zapper and FPS games!!
If you own a Wii, you MUST buy this package. Its excellent value for money (£15.00 at Play.com is the best price around). You get the Wii Zapper and Links Crossbow Training game, the Wii Zapper is also compatible with - Medal of Honour - Heroes 2, Ghost Squad & COD - WAW etc.
I bought this game for my partner, he loves it, - we have spent many hours playing this game (i'm a girl and i love it too!) since then I have purchased another 2 sets, one for my brother & one for my Dad (my brother went and bought a Wii just to play this game!) The Wii Zapper is a nice, well made gun & to get a Nintendo made gun and game for £15.00 - you can't go wrong - Buy it - you won't be dissappointed.
The zapper is great, games like CoD WaW benefit surpringly well from what is essentially a lump of plastic, i'm genuinely impressed. The trigger is sensitive and the ergonomics are well thought out.
Links Crossbow training is a fun bonus, helps you maintain that all important steady hand you need for the FPS games on the Wii.
This is a great little bundle from Nintendo. The Wii Zapper is well made and just feels right and the game while short is quite addictive. Its easy to start with just shooting anything and everything on screen, but to get the high scores you need to memorise the levels and be acurate in hitting the targets so as to build up the bonus multiplier. All in all good value for money just shop around I got mine for £14.99 @ Play, but even the full £19.99 rrp is still good value.
