Sports Island lets up to four players compete against one another simultaneously in ten different disciplines to test their reactions and skills to the limit.

The type of event players can compete in starts with the more familiar, like Football and Basketball and moves right across the athletic spectrum taking in Badminton, Curling and Figure Skating!

Each event will require users to master the Wii Remote and Nunchuk in various ways as the demands of each event takes shape. Archery requires a steady hand to keep the Wii Remote while a twist of the wrist in the Snowboarding section will see the player navigate the slopes with consummate ease. In Figure Skating players need to keep to the music and correctly time all of their jumps and spins in order to impress the judges.

There will be multiple game modes in addition to the obvious single and multiplayer options, but it is the latter where this game will really come into its own. The full list of events within Sports Island is: Beach Volleyball, Snowboard Cross, Badminton, Basketball, Curling, Figure Skating, Archery, Supercross, Football and Kart Racing.

Game features:

  • Unique use of the Wii Remote and Nunchuk
  • 4-player simultaneous play
  • Arcade style family orientated title

    • Beach Volleyball
    • Snowboard Cross
    • Badminton

I feel Sports Island is up against some unfair competition as it's first comparison will be to Wii Sports but looking closely it doesn't copy it one bit as all the sports are different to it.
But seriously though Sports Island could've at least tried to copy Wii Sports as it looks too basic & family friendly.
It's a good game for families but Hudson Soft have tried so hard to stay away from Wii Sports that it's reduced itself to mediocre standards.

     THE BEST!

A great game 4 sleepovers and parties.the best thing about this game is the league where u have 2 play all 10 sports and win the league to unlock a higher league. I highly reccomend this game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

been waiting for this game for almost a year ever since it was originally called Decasport! then read reviews about it a few months back saying how bad it was (IGN etc) and how the release date was being continually pushed back! But once it was released I got it and was very surpised how good it was. Curling was sweet, archery was better and the badminton (the main reason why I got it) was great! Very happy and especially with 4 players!

Sports Island is an ok game. However the control seems 2 b pretty basic and there r the occasion lags here and there. But this could b a fun game when u have ppl ova. And practice is needed on the games 2 get the hang of it, which usually takes a couple of points.
