       Monopoly

I have split my review into good and bad points, First bad: if there is only 1 to 3 persons playing you still need 4 players to play the game (the spare players are controlled by the computer) this slows the game down, which in turn starts making the game boring as it takes ages for you turn to come round. Next is the music, you can not switch it off and the games often last for about two hours so the music becomes painful.
Good points, the graphics are good and there are several boards you can play on once unlocked. The game is ok but the bad points do let what should be a very good game down.

Nothing special, high price, and you probably own it already

Well I know that Monopoly is a pretty fun board game, so if you buy this game you know what to expect. However, the game has it's flaws as well: There is NO online play on ANY version (which would've greatly increased replay value), the minigames are not all that fun and rigged (it's harder to win if you're in first position), and the game is quite slow paced (slow animations, etc).

It's alright if you don't own monopoly one way or the other, but seing as most of you already own the game in a different way (board game, DVD-game, pc game) I'd advise you to spend your money on another Wii game.

Hi, i think monopoly is a great game, i like the the feature of being able to save it and then come back to it whenever you like. I also like the idea of unlocking different boards to play on so you dont get bored and have to play on the same one every time, and the graphics are excellent!!

This game is defently worth getting, so what you waiting for buy it now before the price goes up!!

A good game - one slight gripe

I've given this four stars - it's well worth the money, and if like me you are prone to "Monopoly rage" then up to 3 computer players will take you on even after the rest of the family refuse!

I like the feature of the different boards which you have to unlock - each one has its own charm but the sweet board and cheese board are my faves. Mr Monopoly is a useful function to walk you through the game and the ticket system makes it easy to see who owns what property and where the monopolies are.

The missing star is because I can't help feeling that with games technology where it now is there just should be something more, there really is nothing different here to PC versions of Monopoly that I was playing 5 or so years ago. When you purchase a property why don't they show you a brief virtual tour or at least take you up the path into the hallway so you can 'see' your house; when you buy houses and hotels why isn't there a brief clip of their construction?

Summary - good game well worth buying but missing something that would make it stand out from previous versions of this game in other formats.

       A proper family game

monopoly is an amazing game anyway, but on the wii its even better. Its an addictive game, although you do have more fun playing with family and friends then on your own. There are times in the game when the computer tends to land between your hotels and not on them, but i notice this on hard mode which is the whole point. My girlfriend is not a gamer but loves this game, so i wont say much more.
