The wii version is great. Had problem with the putting metre at first but turned it off in the menu now im gettin -8 on 18 holes. Ive only had it since yesterday. Online is fun and the grapics are fine(should be 480p but only 480i) i also agree with the 2 other reviews on how you have to put a little more power on short putts.but thats not the games fault more the wiimote.should be even better next years game with the wii remote motion plus attachment.that should fix minor problems

  So Near.............yet So Far

I was awaiting this game with great anticipation, I thoroughly enjoyed last years incarnation although the chipping was horrendous. I turned this on and all was well, my first drive split the fairway, a decent 6 iron in, and then came my first putt !!! all I can say is.......WHAT THE HELL HAVE YOU DONE EA, The putting is absoluteley awful. It was fine last year, why change it ? To hit a decent putt, you now have to cock your wrists at a strange angle, in such a fashion that is no where near a reflection of putting for real. Even tho the putting sucks, the rest of the game is an overall improvement from last year, more polished, the graphics have been tidied up a bit, the club tuner is an excellent inclusion (especially if you are playing on advanced level) Overall the game is heading in the right direction just apart form the putting as stated. I would recommend this to anyone............just be prepared to be frustrated on the greens!!

very good game that has been destroyed because of the stupid way you have to put.

08 putting was realistic with you using the wiimote to make a normal putting stroke but now in 09 you have to use a full swing like you do when using a driver.

if this game had the same putting method as the 08 game it would get 5 stars and would of been thee best game for the wii

excellent game with tons of extras

The putting isnt difficult you just need to know what you are doing.
When on the green just select a longer putting stroke and any shot can be played as low as 50%.
Good graphics, great gameplay and tons of extras will keep you coming back fo more.

  woodsies does it!!

As to previous comments....the controls are more to the wii remote standard but the putting.....well....if your close to the hole you got to wack the meter up but overall its the best golf game around....if there is any!!!

  brilliant game with minor niggles

Tiger woods 09 is a huge step up from previous installments of the series on wii there are tons of game modes to play. Career mode is detailed and the online play is good considering the small catalogue of online games on wii. The graphics are on par and has a smooth framerate.
It plays brilliant during the drives but as mentioned the putting is irritating.

  Excellent but................

Once again the majority of the game is excellent and a little more playable and Wii friendly than the 08 version. The swing is a little more realistic and you're much less likely to play a duff shot 'accidently'. The ability to play online against friends is a big plus. As per the previous comment, the putting lets it down a little, no matter what the distance it still needs a good 'whack' even for a two footer.

  Quite good.....but

the putting is terrible - getting to the green is very easy - swing, hit, ball lands etc - but try to put? - even a little tap in seems to require "full" power...as anything below and the ball just dribbles a long - having to point the controller straight down is also cumbersome and quite painful on the wrist!

Overall not a bad game - graphics seem ok - and I am looking forward to playing online -

Great service from Play as always game ordered on Wednesday, arrived on Thursday!
