     Totally disagree with PaulCarp!

I have to say, after reading paulcarp's review of this product i felt compelled to write my own in response. For a snooker/pool game on the wii this is the best product out there. The wii attachment really does help your aim- as agreed by many reviewers such as those of the official nintendo magazine. It takes a little while to get used to the controls but once you get your head around them it feels natural and solid. It sounds to me like paulcarp simply needs more practice!!

I also think, for a wii game, this game looks pretty good. No doubt from the screenshots ive seen its counterparts on the xbox360 and ps3 will be better but surely paulcarp isn't expecting the wii to look as polished as the console versions??? The sound effects are also top notch for this type of game, in my humble opinion. The american pool commentary gives nice variation to the traditional snooker commentary of virgo and crew. The commentary itself is rich with various comments.

Frankly, im not sure what else you could want from a snooker/pool game on the wii.

My advice: Buy it, be patient to master its controls (which surely is half the fun of playing real snooker or pool) and then enjoy it either on your own or with friends and family.

     Best snooker game so far

Snooker is a slow game, so it's not for anyone who wants a quick arcade blast. Settle down with a nice cocoa on a damp day and it is a pleasure to play. I have this on Wii and 360 - prefer the Wii though because the cue attachment adds something fresh.

     awesome game!

    Top 100 Games Reviewer

I brought this for a freind. All i can say is wow!! The cue is an great idea and adds hours of fun to the game.

Its easy to pick up and play, or to sit down and master the trick shots.

    An exellent gift idea!

     Still not good enough!

If anyone has played the real game then you will find this game frustrating. Yes you can pot the long shot, but when you need a delicate touch to pot a ball and keep position within a 2 foot area you will find the power is as if you are hitting a ball 10 foot away. The power control is rubbish, the manual is of no use and to be honest the cue just isnt long enough to make you feel like you are really playing the game.

When you miss a ball you soon realise the flaws, your opponent usually makes enough of a break to make you concede. You come away with the thought that this game isnt going to last you long because you will give up in frustration. It is impossible! Even a snooker pro would struggle with this one and thats the main problem with all these games over the last 20 years.

     Christmas Cash-in?

I love snooker and pool and really looked forward to the release of this game. Despite the hype this is, in my opinion, truly awful.

The cue attachment is very poor: The remote slips around in its cage and the tip of the cue breaks the wii remote's infrared signal with the machine. This results in terrible cue control, particularly when it comes to adjusting the power of a shot. After 5 minutes of play, i was tearing my hair out with this game. Prepare to be bored stiff as the poor control method makes you fluff a shot, only to lead to your computer opponent clearing the table (or making a big break at least).

The lamest thing about this game is its presentation. Graphics are very poor and unrealistic, pre-set animations are tedious, sound is frankly abysmal. What were they thinking when they used this ridiculously bad american commentary over the pool modes?

In my opinion, this is a rushed christmas cash-in game that would be a laugh at £15 but is a pure rip-off at £35. Take my advice...save your money!!
