Building on the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare engine, Call of Duty: World at War thrusts players into the ruthless and gritty chaos of WWII combat like never before and challenges them to band together to survive the most harrowing and climactic battles in both the European and Pacific theatres. The title re-defines WWII games by offering an uncensored experience with unique enemies, jaw-dropping fire power like the flamethrower, and combat variety, including Kamikaze fighters, ambush attacks, Banzai charges and cunning tactics, as well as explosive on-screen action through all new cooperative gameplay.

Multiplayer: Call of Duty: World at War will support intense, online multiplayer action using the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare engine. Bringing multiplayer to the Wii for the first time in the Call of Duty franchise, players will be able battle it out in a variety of game types, plus upgrade and customise characters by using perks and completing challenges.

Squadmate: This cooperative mode lets players team up to play alongside friends and family. At any moment, a second Wii Remote can be activated, giving the second player their own aiming crosshair to provide cover and added firepower while fighting alongside their Squadmate.

New Theatres of Operation: Players fight as U.S. Marines and Russian soldiers facing enemies that employ lethal new tactics and know no fear, or no mercy. Epic conflicts are fought on multiple fronts, playing through the climactic battles of WWII in the grittiest, most chaotic and cinematically intense experience to date.

Combat-Look: World at War includes "Combat-Look" technology - as the player runs through the game's diverse environments and topographies, the vertical line of sight discreetly adapts to keep players focused on the battlefield without having to radically adjust for uphill/downhill grade variations in the terrain. This system still allows complete freedom and mobility for targeting and results in a smoother and more playable Wii experience than ever before.

Wii Zapper Support: World at War fully supports Nintendo's innovative and unique Zapper controller through a customised game setting that allows the entire game, including multiplayer, to be played with the Zapper. This customised setting adds a new way to play by incorporating unique gestures and button layouts that add to the Call of Duty experience.

A solid purchase for one of the best FPS's on the Wii

This is without doubt one of the best FPS on the Wii and one of the most well presented games as well. It doesn't have the configuration options that Medal of Honor has, but it out ranks Medal Of Honor with the larger, more open-ended maps, better visuals, models, environments and staged events. Remember this isn't a next-gen platform and players of the Xbox and PS3 will pick up faults when comparing against those platforms. But this is a solid purchase for anyone wanting a good FPS experience and IMHO its really good fun with the IR shooting that you simply don't get on the other platforms.

Look, if you wanted the best graphics you wouldn't have got a Wii. But the graphics are excellent for a wii game plus if you get a wii zapper gun of some sort it is more fun that the PS3 or the Xbox 360 versions. And after all its about having fun not how good the graphics are. Game play 10/10. Online 8/10 (could have more games like capture the flag etc) Graphics 9/10. Controls 10/10

         BEST ONLINE PLAY EVER!!!!!!

This game is amazing both the normal campaign and particularily the online play. The game employs a more accurate shot and the chance to progress and aim for higher ranks. The game has a massive selection of scenarios to complete to further progress. The only down side is the online play is restricted to 8 players per senario. Overall the game is soooooo addictive.

I love this game it is excellent, once you spend time getting used to the controls (because they are a bit hard to use at first) the game is superb, if you like shooting games i would buy it if i were you also get something like a wii zapper gun makes it easier to use and gives it a better effect

This is, by a long way the best game i have ever played. The online will co-op with wii speak!!! I got this game the day it came out and have not stopped playing it since, the x-box version is no where near as good, fair enough, the xbox has better graphics but the wii has gameplay and beleive it or not better online. The campain is great and amazingly gorey. I played the campain berfore i played online so i could get used to the controls. (Go into options in the main menu and click on gore and then click high, then you will be in for a treat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
