The first officially licensed MotoGP title ever for the Nintendo Wii platform, MotoGP turns the Wii Remote into a virtual set of handlebars to deliver the definitive two-wheeled racing experience. The development team's overriding aim is to deliver an unparalleled handling model that allows access points for gamers of all skill levels and just as importantly provide a challenge to meet each player's abilities.
  • Three different handling models - Acade, Intermediate and Simulation - provide varied racing experiences and accessibility for all
  • Ride as yourself and compete against riders from the world's premier motorcycling championship - racing up to 20 opponents!
  • Select from 125cc, 250cc and MotoGP bike classes with each offering a different race experience
  • Set competitor AI to match skill level with four AI levels - Easy, Medium, Hard and Champion

The graphics are pretty good given the constraints of the Wii's hardware. Capcom obviously had trouble developing the Wii version as it was only released today after a six month delay.

I have only given it four stars as the Sound effects are not the best and for the 125cc class it sounds as though they just used a mobile phone interference buzz for the engine noise at max revs, mind you the real ones aren't far off that sort of noise.

But overall worth the £25

 Is it worth buying?

Well yes, on balance! Difficult to steer so a handy tip-use a steering wheel (AKA Mario Kart etc). Acceleration and braking is also hard to muster! Having played Moto GP / WSB games on the PS2 and other consoles before, if you don't try, you don't get close to the action like a Wii gives in comparison to PS2/PS3. Lets face it, we'd rather be on the bike! Views and sensitivty is good, lacks pit grid girls and numerous unlockables!

 dull

Won my first race from the back of the grid, you can ride straight through opposition without any affect most of the time, found it boring and repetitive. Very disappointing

 Much better on PS3

This is a sim and to be honest if you want simulation you need graphics and the wii unfortunately doesn't provide the level of graphics needed to make this game enjoyable. Much better on the PS3.
