Review

The world is in danger! A huge meteor is plummeting towards earth and the only way to save the planet from destruction is to earn enough money to purchase the anti-meteor gadgets from a TV shopping channel! This bizarre storyline is the basis for Job Island: Hard Working People, a quirky and brilliantly entertaining title featuring 50 minigames that must be finished to earn the money to save the word! However, players must perform better than the other workers in order to succeed!

Each of the 50 minigames are in fact jobs players must undertake successfully in order to earn money. These jobs range from the simple to the ridiculous and all make use of the Wii Remote and Nunchuk in ways players would never have thought possible.

With three levels of difficulty and a multiplayer mode that allows two people to go head-to-head on any of the jobs that are available in a straight heads-up duel, there is plenty to keep everyone entertained and amused.

Customer rating: 3 out of 5 stars Annoying storyline, but enjoyable

As with other reviews the story is boring and can be very repetative, I've destroyed 1 meteorite, but hang on there's another and again after that, there's another! But despite that I do enjoy this game, it was good to keep doing the jobs to try and beat the previous score and increase my 'experience'. The idea behind the game is good, in doing various different jobs and trying to get better at them, but I would say the controls in some of the jobs I found hard, so aim this game at maybe the 7 - 14 market rather than younger, as they may struggle with the controls on some of them. Initailly was difficult to understand how you stopped the meteorite and using the various objects you can buy, but once I understood this the game got easier. In conclusion game itself is easy, controls can be a bit hard, story boring and repetative, but good fun & just worthwhile if bought at £10 - £15 max.

Stay away from this game, it isn't even worth £10 let alone the heft RRP in any of the stores, The game itself is repetirtive and very annoying. Buy carnival instead and save yuourself £15 quid!!!!

Customer rating: 4 out of 5 stars good mixture of gameplay

as a mini game goes this is one of the best. load of variety of games, each game has three different levels which keep you coming back to reach. also each day in the game only lets you play selected games, which means it doesn't get too repetative. the story line is mad, and can get annoying. worth purchasing though.
