From the creators of the original 'Tenchu,' the best-selling and highest-rated in the Tenchu series, Tenchu: Shadow Assassins lets gamers master the deadly techniques of a real ninja. Coming to the Wii, Tenchu: Shadow Assassins provides an authentic experience by using the Wii Remote to fight, dash, jump and kill like a true ninja.

Tenchu: Shadow Assassins continues the saga of Rikimaru and Ayame, elite ninjas who must use their lethal skills to keep the peace in feudal Japan. With much blood shed throughout their master's land, Rikimaru and Ayame must unmask the face of the enemy behind a treacherous kidnapping. Fight your way through dangerous territory and complete thrilling missions as the ultimate ninja.
  • Succeed in your adventures by using over 17 historically accurate ninja weapons and tools, each with its own Wii motion.
  • Use your Wii Remote to dash, jump, attack, and toss projectiles.
  • Kill your targets through a wide variety of stealth assassination techniques using your Wii Remote.
  • Experience Shadow Mode, an advanced level option where you put your Wii ninja skills to the ultimate test.
  • Fight as both Rikimaru and Ayame, elite ninjas skilled in the art of death. Rikimaru is stealthy and silent, while Ayame is aggressive and acrobatic.
  • Move silently and use your environment as a camouflage to sneak in behind your targets and accomplish your missions.
  • Battle your enemies with katanas, throwing stars, daggers, smoke bombs and more!
  • Explore the highly detailed maps of feudal Japan and interact with your environment.
  • Unlock hidden levels by collecting special artifacts during your epic adventure.
  • Over 10 missions and 50 side quests allow for hours of immersive gameplay in a world of fierce combat and authentic tradition.

 What a dissappointment

Good things: The graphics are okay, the animations are good, kill moves are okay although unnecessarily violent imo, ability to use a cat.
Then the bad: Story, script, game mechanics, linear stages, limited options on what to do in stages, stupid enemies, ridiculously hard sword fights.

Conclusion: I didn't like it. There are way too many game mechanics flaws that prevents the game from being enjoyable.

 Best Tenchu Ever

A game for the Hardcore players...

Great Production Values!

Great Graphics, you have to see it!

P.S:If this was made for XBOX360 it would be no1 in the top sellers.

 Good good game

I bought Tenchu few days ago. After playing two hours, I have to say that it has been great game so far. Wonderful music, addictive gameplay and brilliant graphics.

I love stealth games like Tenchu - and this is ok, but the main problem with this game isn't the fault of the game, it's the wii controller. Using the controller for sword fights and stealth kills sounds logical, but the unresponsive wii controls make it a very hit and miss affair. Graphics are par for the course for a wii game (ie - the same as a PS2 game) sound is sparse but the accents are very strange - american thug accents for the enemy guards and British cockney accents for the boss (well, at least the first boss anyway - can't really comment on the others as haven't got that far yet) What really spoils this game however, is the lack of freedom. In previous games you could choose your own route, climb up any wall, run along any roof etc - but this game channels you down a set route - and that more than anything else ruins it for me.
