Few games can achieve what Resident Evil 4 has done so effortlessly; perfect pacing. From start the finish you are given puzzles, fights and exploration in the exact right ratio and so making you want to play further on. Excellent news considering that this games comes with ALL the extra content featured in the Playstation 2 version and the extras are great too.
The game play is also extremely well done, the character (Leon) moves about with some decent speed and agility but never too much so that there's always the fear of being flanked by an enemy and the aiming with the gun is superb. The Wii's controls set it miles apart from the Playstation 2 and Gamecube versions of the game, though a Gamecube controller can be plugged in for that retro experience.
The storyline is simple and a bit ham fisted at times but since the game plays like an action film you can forgive the script. Though the game's plot is definitely driving enough to compel you through the game and it's fairly self-contained meaning that you don't have to have played all previous (or any) Resident Evil games to enjoy this one.
The voice acting in the game is actually very well delivered and picks up where the script lets down.
Overall an excellent game with great controls, a decent plot and absolutely killer pacing. Without a doubt a must buy game.
