Wii Speak

Wii Speak is a fantastic device and Nintendo's adempt at talking online. Although it can only be used with Animal Crossing at the moment (as it came out after many other online games) it has already been confirmed to be used with future games such as The Conduit. Wii Speak is great, it's easy to use, works well and in my opinion much better than a head set as picks up everyone in the room.

Clear quality sound makes games like Animal Crossing Wild World much more enjoyable. Not only can you play with friends, you can now chat to them whilst playing with this device.

Yes, friendcodes are needed, But this provides extra security for those whose children could be at risk from people online (I think it's stupid too, but Nintendo have always been overprotective with kids).

It's going to work on many games in the future, and is described as a community microphone as it allows a whole room of people to connect to another room of people, beating the 1 to 1 talking of a standard headset.

A great and much needed peripheral for the Wii.

i got for christmas and it is great voice quality is good and clear, wii speak channel is excellent,

On the wii speak channel is that where you can speak or is it just to adjust the settings wrire back if you know thanks

I must comment that fair do's it is better than headsets for other consoles but for the PS3, the camera has a built in mic which does exactly the same as the wii speak but it's obviously got a camera on it aswell and it picks up everyone in the room without the hassle of headsets so the speak is'nt the only answer to no headsets, the PS3 version came out a year ago and is also awesome on cutting out background noise you just sit back on your settee and talk away!
