Not 100% but still gives the lens a much-needed clean.

Cleaned the lens to some extent. (There was a fair amount of dirt on the cleaning pad).

Super Smash Bros. Brawl usually took about 15-30 minutes of messing about to work; after using this, it appeared after about 5 minutes instead.

Not a perfect solution but the only one I felt would help.

  Dual Layer Issue Fixed! (Xeno/SmashBros)

I didnt realise my Wii had a problem until I got the new Xeno game, which is on a dual layer disc. All othergames worked except that one. I was sceptical that this would work, and after the first attempt it appeared not to. However I tried it a second time with a bit more fluid and wiggling it side to side as well as up and down as suggested. Delighted to report that now Xenoblade works perfectly, and Im sure it will reduce the disc chugging on all games. Nothing noticable on the pad, a little dirt and hair, but that makes all the difference. Dont send your Wii back to Nintendo before youve tried this first, it really works!

(Comments about the quality of the product should be ignored, it has to be operated manually due to the Wii having a slot disc. Lovely Wii packaging and it does the job)

Better than sending your Wii off to Nintendo!

I have had errors when the Wii tried to read Brawl or Metroid lately, so I bought this and it works a treat! All the dual layer disc games work perfectly on my Wii now and well worth getting if you have problems with those games reading.
All you do is pop some cleaning fluid (supplied) onto the cleaning part of the cloth and slip the plastic in the Wii and wiggle it about for a few seconds. Very quick and simple to do.
Also it is an official product of Nintendo so also very trustworthy.

I have had my Wii for three years and recently bought Rayman Raving Rabbids 3 game pack. It didn't work on my Wii. I tried it in my sons and it worked. I had noticed some of my games were getting jumpy lately, so I honestly thought my well used Wii was ready for the scrap. I researched the problem and found this cleaner. It's not widely available, so I never knew it existed. For a fiver it was worth the try. Very easy to use and first go, a very dirty lens all clean now and working like new. I have cleaned my sons as well. It comes with 6 pads, so it will keep the lenses clean for a long long time. Well worth it. 100% recommend. It has encouraged me to think about making sure the fan and the vents are clean as well.

If you can't load Metroid: Other M or Super Smash Bros Brawl

Get this now as I have over 40 wii games and all of them work fine part from those two I have stated up above because they are dual layer disc. If your Wii lens has alot of dust on it then you will not be able to load dual layer games on your Wii. At six pounds it's a much cheaper way of getting your Wii to work fine with these games then sending it off to Nintendo themselves to be fixed.

I was having problems playing smash bros on my wii. I bought this disc in a last hope that it might make the disc work, and it does! Its worth giving this product a try if you are having problems getting games to work, as it worked for me!

Don't listen to the person who gave a 1 star. It really does work. I've had my Wii for some time now, and when I was unable to play Red Steel 2 because of a Disc read error, I didn't really know what to do. I went and looked around for a solution, which were either to send it off to Nintendo to fix, or to just DIY with a lens cleaner.

I didn't know which lens cleaner to try, so I just checked play.com if they had one and I got around to finding this little thing. I trust the whole 'Official' accessories Nintendo make for us, as I have a number of top quality items from them for the Wii (including the Officially Licensed Nintendo Speaker System - They are great).

For 6 pounds, I reckon it was worth it. Used it once and wow, I couldn't believe how much dirt was on that white cloth (Too much Super Mario Galaxy I guess), and now, I have no Disc read problems, so really recommend if you guys have this problem.
