Step into the shoes of the legendary hero, Indiana Jones, in an all-new epic adventure! Set in the year 1939, Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings follows the rogue archaeologist on an all-new globe-trotting quest.

From San Francisco's Chinatown to the lush jungles of Panama, Indy must use his whip, fists and wits to fight through ruthless opposition as he spars with his nemesis, Magnus Völler, in a race for a relic of biblical proportions - the Staff of Moses.

Staff of Kings features completely interactive environments, where players need to call upon their wits and daring to make each spring-loaded environment a weapon in order to dispense of foes in clever and unexpected ways. Also, embark upon thrilling action sequences that remain true to the spirit established in scenes such as Indy's pursuit of the motorcade in 'Raiders of the Lost Ark,' the mine-cart scene in 'The Temple of Doom,' and the free-for-all aboard the tank in 'The Last Crusade.'
  • Wield your Wii Remote like Indy's signature whip for a variety of uses - from combat to navigation to puzzle-solving.
  • Use your highly interactive Hot Set environments and your wits to defeat your enemies.
  • Explore exotic locations around the globe in an all-new story that puts you on an epic quest for the Staff of Moses.
  • Apply your smarts to navigate Indy through challenging terrains with the many maneuvers Indy can do with his whip.
  • Engage in burst gunplay moments and use careful aim and the environment to take out enemies.
  • Face overwhelming odds and escape signature run-for-your-life moments, like a daring escape from a collapsing temple, by matching fast-paced onscreen gesture prompts.
  • Experience thrilling chases and control vehicles - fly a biplane in a canyon trench, take the reigns of a wild elephant through the streets of Istanbul and navigate a raft down a raging river.
  • Cooperative gameplay mode allows you and a friend to brave the challenges in a variety of game modes in an entirely new quest with a familiar character never playable before in an Indy game.
  • Unlock four-player versus mode where you and your friends go head-to-head in a real biplane combat or take on three of your friends in a free for all tank battle!
  • Whether you are brawling baddies or wielding your whip, use the Wii Remote and Nunchuk as nature intended with the intuitive gesture-based combat system.
  • Discover more than 20 artifacts and rewarding unlockables throughout the game.
  • For those old-school gamers there is nothing better than unlocking the classic 'Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis' game!

I loved the first three Indiana Jones films as a child and enjoyed the new one too. I have always thought that the last two Indiana Jones games The Infernal Machine which I have on the PC and The Emperor's Tomb on the PS2 were a little bit behind the best Tomb Raider in terms of quality. The Staff Of Kings fixes this because the developers have put alot of time and effort into giving Indie the most excellent Wii controls. There are three types of punches that you can do japs, hooks and uppercuts by using different motion movements with the Wii remote or the Nunchuk for left and right punches. You can grab your enemies and throw them into different objects such as a table or through a door. Indies whip is put to good use as you can disarm a enemy or ensnare them on the neck, waist or feet which is done with motion movements on the Wii remote. He can also destroy parts of the enviroment with his whip and cross large areas too. Indie can dodge by pressing A and B on the Wii remote simultaneously and if you are successful in dodging your attack, Indy will spring up and counter the attack. There are also objects that Indy can pick up and attack with or throw. Later on in the game you get to use a gun which is always the fastest way to kill a Nazi! I don't have my code at the moment to unlock Han Solo so I am trying my hardest to find 35 artefacts as it will be rather cool playing as him too. The graphics for a Wii game are excellent and it really captures the feel of Indiana Jones films very well. The music is spot on and indys voice sounds good too. This game is out on the PS2 as well and I think that the brilliant Wii controls will make this the better version because it really adds alot to the gameplay for me. So if you are a Indiana Jones fan or enjoy the Tomb Raider games then this really is a must have game for you to buy.

 A+ gameplay and Graphics!

just got this for my birthday today and i think this is the best game i have played on the wii so far, its not just a tomb raider rip off as there are loads of different type of gameplay, flying the plane is really good and using the whip to disarm the bad guys is cool, been playing all day and just cant put it down, great fun for all ages and not just a movie tie as its a whole new story!

 Good authentic indy adventure

I had been looking forward to playing this game since its release and now that i have finally got it i can say that it was really worth the wait. Being a fan of the films i feel as though they have captured the atmosphere perfectly with the great music, good voice acting and dramatic scenarios and set pieces. Graphics are not the Wii's strong point but in 'Staff of Kings' they are detailed and fit into the blend nicely, but the story is good and gameplay should keep you entertained for however short the campaign is. However there is a nice surprise in a separate from the campiagn co-op level and the excellent enhanced version of the classic 'Fate of Atlantis' which i would have paid for alone. Basically this is a good game which should be celebrated for what it does well and not ridiculed for what it doesnt.

Decent adventure but too much combat

I like the game's adventure and didn't find it at all boring. The controls are fun (waving burning torches around, whipping things, etc.) but I felt they overdid the combat a bit.

I was hoping for more 'Tomb Raider' style gameplay with occasional fights, but it just seemed that the fights were a really major part of this game. Great if you like that sort of thing.

If they had an option to cut down the amount of brawls, I'd give it 5 stars.
