My son loves this game but has some difficulty with it as he is only 2 and a half, the games are fairly repetetive as stated, but thats good for the target audience. Older children won't like this I don't think. The stickers page in the prizes has kept him amused for hours, he likes the games and he can use the initially confusing menu systems. This was a good purchase, as the choices for really young children are limited (I sort of think thankfully limited, as I don't like him playing on the wii too much!). However, in summary, for a 3 year old I dont think you'll be going too far wrong. Probably not for 5 years plus though.
It worries me sometimes to read some of the reviews on here for childrens games, people complaining how repetitive they are or how easy - I give it 4 stars because its for ages 3 and over and if it was any harder my 4 year old would lose interest. Yes its a bit repetitive but thats great for him as at 4 years old he likes games he can actually do on his own which is what this offers. Think of this as a 3-5 year olds game and you cant go wrong - if theres mums and dads out there thinking it wasnt that challenging for them then I think people are missing the point - Its a childs game - theres not enough for this age out there - my son really enjoys it!!
The one thing that stands out in this gameare the graphics, they are superb.
As already stated , the 3dmode is rubbish, just gives you a headache!. Mini games are ok, although aimed at the younger market..great as a family game
