  Excellent Game

This is a fantastic game for genuine snooker fans, wouldnt suit someone whos never played the proper game. The cue attatchment is excellent, it took me a few hours to master how to control it, eg power, spin but once you do that it is very enjoable. The most impressive thing is how the balls react to spin and contact very realisticly as they would in real life snooker. If you love you snooker this is a must buy!

  Go play the real thing!

I must admit, this is the first snooker based game i have bought, and i can almost definatley say it will be the last. The game is so difficult, even to master the basic 'coaching' mode. unless you have hours on your hands to master the controls (position, cue power etc,.) of which, ive no doubt, you could possible do. Id rather spend my monies on going down the snooker hall and bruching up on my real game.

  not very good

this game is not a good game you can not control the cue power very well. they have tournaments from last season and not from this season and they could at least have them in the right order. The graphics are not very good the brown ball looks the same as the red balls and with not being able to control cue power you can never play a good safety shot always letting your opponent get a break and you can't play a shot with position and the cue is much to short needs to be at least 57 inches long on the whole not a very good game. Better to buy a real snooker table.

  same as 08?

seeming as i purchased the 08 version and played it for months, this really is going to be an honest 08 vs 09 and whether it's worth spending the extra cash on this version.

ok
08 has the same commentary as 09.

08 has red menus and carpets and 09 has blue.

08 has the same table and player graphics as 09, but the balls on 09 are more detailed and realistic.

09 has a new tournament included over 08.

still neither 08 or 09 has online play and no additional features motion plus to boost it a little.

the bottom line is if you are new to this game, i would buy a cheap version of 08 incase it's not your cup of tea. i feel that blade are cashing in on some money for the same as 08 with a 60 second make over!!!! different colour carpet!!!!! new shiny balls!!!!! different colour menu!!!! wow, wow, wow!!!!!

at least if they had included an online option after 9 months of 08 release, i think people would have been encouraged to spend the extra money on this.

get the 08 for cheapness and wait for them to stop being lazy.

the gameplay gets 5/5 as with my last review of 08, but drops to 3 for effort on this years installment. if you really don't believe me borrow or rent 08 and 09 and see for yourselfs.

naughty blade interactive. very very naughty.
