 Just not right......

After getting my first official wired headset caught in the vacuum cleaner, I opted for a third party one. Not bad, but fell apart pretty quickly. This is the third headset I've owned, my second official and this new one isn't nearly as good as the first one with the larger controller attachment. What you have now is a single jack that isn't anchored into the pad nearly enough meaning the slightest tug and it comes out. Really frustrating as I move around a lot when playing games. Also, the in-line volume control is at a very strange height. What was wrong with the old set up? You didn't have to take you hands off the pad to adjust mute and volume and you do now. Not good.
I asked a friend with the new 360 if he has the same problem and he does, I was thinking maybe the new controllers were better suited to the single jack but it seems not.

Sound quality is fine but overall, this is just poor.

 Exactly what i want.

As someone who spends up to 2 hours a day playing xbox with friends i needed a simple headset, one that didnt have long wires trailing to my tv or one that requires extra batteries, causing me to spend even more money. I just bought my second one of these headsets, the first lasted me at least one and half years, brilliant for just over a tenner. Cant go wrong with this Item, highly recomended.

 Sweet

Okay, this headset works perfectly, and after the wire splitting inside my first one, I had to get a replacement. It's a little stiff to begin with, like my first was, but it works perfectly, stays attatched to my controller and is pretty comfortable on my head. One criticism is the boom mike sponge comes off if it's pulled or yanked. I don't do this, but I did hoover off my last one, and as I play gaming quite a lot it doesn't give me earache, headache or any kind of bad feeling. All in all a good product.

 Total Junk.........

These head sets are really pooly made. I recieved one of these withh my Halo Reach Xbox (C'mon Microsoft really?? ) I had the single phono jack with inline volume control, all my friends / team online thought i sounded like i was in a large room with the mic at the other end, then the mic stalk detatched from the ear piece and basically fell apart.... In the end I went back to my original xbox behind the head mic and they were perfect, turtle beach x41's arrived a few days later and it was a big a big booooooooooo to Microsofts poor poor effort .
