Darksiders 2 follows the exploits of Death, one of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse, in a weaving tale that runs parallel to the events in the original Darksiders game. This epic journey propels Death through various light and dark realms as he tries to redeem his brother War, the horseman who was blamed for prematurely starting the Apocalypse in Darksiders.

Awakened by the End of Days, Death, the most feared of the legendary Four Horsemen, embarks upon a quest to restore mankind, and redeem his brother's name. Along the way, the Horseman discovers that there are far worse things than an earthly Apocalypse, and that an ancient grudge may threaten all of Creation. Can Death really become mankind's savior?

Become the terrifying force which everything fears but nothing can escape. Death Lives in Darksiders 2.

  • Play Death: Become the most feared of the legendary Four Horsemen, able to destroy entire worlds and battle forces beyond Heaven or Hell
  • Epic universe: Unlike anything the player has seen before, delivered in the unique style of Joe Mad
  • Player choice & customisation: Slayer, Necromancer, & Wanderer armour sets along with the Harbinger & Necromancer Skill Trees allow players to create their own Death
  • Replay-ability: Side quests, open world feel, Skill Tree customization, and leveling system with endless armor & weapon set combinations offer compelling reasons to play through Darksiders 2 again and again
  • Traversal: Death is a nimble and agile character capable of incredible acrobatic feats allowing the player to explore the world like never before

Darksiders 2 is just incredible! It improves on the first one in every way. From the vastness of the world to the cool and responsive combat system, it's practically impossible not to enjoy this game. Fans of the original or not, I can't recommend this game enough! 10/10

 STOP!!!

Do NOT buy this game. It is full of bad controls and design. No where near as good as the first. Death is cool but the game play will drive you mad. You can't block, areas are to big and the missions just have you get the key, kill some bad guys and do it all over again.
After playing just a few short hours into this game you think the game designer never made a game before.

the whole game is wonderful so far. the loot system the upgrading and the combat and movement all great. i never played the first one and this makes me want to find out what happened on wars side of the story. this game is long and worth every penny.

I picked this up after quite liking the first game and pretty much haven't stopped playing it!
It helps to have played the first but it's not important as it is set during the events of the first. Unlike the first though a lot more emphasis is on RPG levelling, side quests and loot finding which I always enjoy plus the varied armour pieces to equip Death in are just great for changing his appearance and stats.

The story is pretty forgettable really but Deaths voice is done by the awesome Michael Wincott which is a bonus for me at least! The game worlds are pretty empty and the controls do take some getting used to but they are no game breakers, just occasionally annoying wall running problems.

All in all though the dungeon questing is brilliant with some pretty crafty puzzles thrown in and I just thought this game was nothing but fun to play with some online features, it has online stats and the ability to share weapons and armour with friends which I thought was a decent little feature.

Worth a go for a violent Zelda style style game with a dash of Legacy Of Kain thrown in for good measure.
