Thor: The Videogame will delve deep into the heroic tales of the Thor universe. Eisner Award-winning writer and lead Thor comic book author Matt Fraction brings authenticity to the narrative as a story consultant, and elevates the story beyond the comic and movie universe throughout the videogame. Players will take on an array of ancient enemies and beasts from the many worlds of Norse mythology by using different battle strategies and elemental powers. The sacred Mjolnir, Thor's legendary hammer, will allow players to command the powers of the storm: wind, thunder and lightning. By earning Valor in combat throughout the game, players will also be able to select from a wider range of abilities, acquire new attacks, powers and upgrades.

Each version of the game is being developed to take advantage of individual platform's strengths. The Xbox 360 version will feature cinematic, third-person action gameplay with melee combos, ranged hammer throws, tide-turning elemental powers and an upgrade system to bolster Thor's powers as gamers progress.

  • Brought to the Marvel Universe by the legendary Stan Lee and his brother Larry Lieber, and penciled by noted artist Jack Kirby, Thor first appeared in Marvel Comics in 1962. Based on Norse mythology, the Marvel character of Thor became a comic book Super Hero both in his own right and as a member of the Avengers alongside comic book icons The Hulk, Iron Man and Captain America. Thor: The Videogame marks the character's progression from mythology to comics, TV, then film and now to interactive entertainment in his first standalone appearance in a videogame

  • While taking its inspiration directly from the mythology of the comics, Thor: The Videogame will launch around the time of the upcoming Thor film adaptation from Marvel Studios

Thor is a great game and you would enjoy it if you have ever played a Marvel super hero game before.
There is a big campagin but it repeats itself to much.
Thor as some amazing powers like thunder, lightning and wind.

This game is a must buy for people that like other marvel products.

 its what you expect !!

before i bought this i knew that was not going to be a five star rating as of two things one: a tie in game with a movie , not one game has been outstanding when a game is based on a movie never will and never was FACT! , second reason is sega , sega has not made a game for me that has stood out on power with gears , cod , battlefield and arkham and never will again . reason i bought this ( second hand i might add) as i love marvel thats what it comes down too really , but all that aside the game is not bad , it does keep you entertained many combos and the use of lighting and wind gives you a little bit of variety in killing , if your a marvel fan and get bored one night this game will keep you happy enough but its defo not a five star game
