Dead Island

This game is a wonderful mix of first person action with zombies.
if you are fans of: fallout 3, borderlands, left 4 dead and far cry then this game is for you. its also very good for playing with a friends co - op, worth the 40 pound that i payed for it.

how sad that a game has to give the impression that its multiplayer to get you to buy it. i thought finally a split screen game was available to play with mates in the same room as you rather than online. racing games seem to be catching on with dirt 3 and F1 2011. just have to stick to COD i suppose.

I love zombies, they are my kinda person. So I was excited to get my hands on this. Co-op, sun ,sea and slaying, what could go wrong? Well quite a lot really. Poor visuals that look very dated, ropey collision detection, weak characters and poor repetitive quests all add up to one massively missed opportunity. Deep Silver's Chrome engine isn't at all capable of chucking about anymore than 10 zombies at any one time, and the 'types' of the infected have shamelessly shambled from the classic L4D series straight into this wreck of a game. I played it, and I really tried to love it, but after wondering aimlessly around a sewer I just had to give up.

If you are able to see past the massive flaws then maybe you'd have a gem on your hands, but I really wish I'd waited for this to hit the bargain bin before buying it.

2 stars? Well, the first star is for 'its an Xbox game that runs!', and the second star is for the driving sections. Because as ugly as the undead are, they make freakin' awesome hood ornaments.

This game is superb, after reading reviews before it's release I was surprised at how mixed they were from what I had seen in trailers. Since buying the game though I can't put it down. For me the game looks superb, the gameplay is very good you pick it up right away. But for me it's the atmosphere, it's really creepy in parts and you can't put it down. Though I feel the game does not start till around 10 hours in, that's how long it took me to do act 1. Once starting act 2 it's like starting a new game, zombie mayhem. If you like fallout, left 4 dead & borderlands you will love this as it's combination of the 3.

The game is class, i completed it on saturday night and was hooked from the second i got it. Easily the best zombie game ever and highly recommend to everyone.

Absolutely outstanding!

this game is amazing. the story line is brilliant , there are some amount of missions and you never get bored of killing all the zombies.

A word of warning though, some of the missions later in the game are really hard so make sure your weapons are repaired and try and get a partner.

I Personally love this game, it has hours and hours of gameplay, from killing zombies to travelling the island and finding supplies to survive, much like fall out 3 , left 4 dead and dead rising however i fell THIS GAME is a step above its predecessors.

After readiing reviews on other websites which gave the game some pretty negetive reviews mainly because of graphic flaws and glitches which there are some clipping issues but aslong as you have friends to go through the game with the core gameplay is so good that thoes little problems will only bother thoes who are looking for flaws the melee combat is awesome and the zombies are great not like left 4 dead were they are fodder a group of 3 zombies at the start will easily require backup you really have to survive in this game not go on a killing rampage if you love zombie apocalypse's then go for this you wont be dissapointed.

its a must buy great gameplay and hours off missions its so much fun its hard to put it down
