LEGO Rock Band merges two of the most popular videogame franchises to deliver a unique family-friendly music experience that will take tweens, teens, families and gamers of all ages on a wild journey to rock stardom in order to "Build a Band and Rock the Universe".

Combining the authentic multiplayer music experience of Rock Band with the accessibility, customisation and humour of LEGO games, LEGO Rock Band allows players to create their own unique rock star style and customise their own avatars, band members, roadies, and managers. As players successfully complete songs and rock challenges, they can collect LEGO studs, unlock additional content and collect amazing vehicles, which can take their band from local gigs at rock clubs to epic stadium shows and even fantasy settings on Earth and beyond.

  • Rock along to current hits and classic favourites that the whole family will enjoy including Foo Fighters' 'Breakout', Jackson 5's 'I Want You Back', Vampire Weekend's 'A-Punk', Blur's 'Song 2', Carl Douglas' 'Kung Fu Fighting', Europe's 'The Final Countdown', Good Charlotte's 'Boys And Girls', Pink's 'So What', Bon Jovi's 'You Give Love A Bad Name', Counting Crows' 'Accidentally In Love', Sum 41's 'In Too Deep', Blink 182's 'Aliens Exist' and The Hives' 'Tick Tick Boom!' just to name a few!
  • Use the LEGO character customiser to create and personalise your band, instrument controllers and entourage.
  • Pull off killer riffs in LEGO themed Rock Power Challenges to perform amazing feats such as defeating a giant octopus, summoning a storm or demolishing a skyscraper.
  • Build fame LEGO style by completing songs to collect LEGO studs - unlock cool vehicles, progress to new venues and unlock new characters and instruments.
  • Express yourself with a personalised LEGO Rock Den that can be accessorised and decorated to perfectly suit your rock style.
  • All-access gaming! Start off on Easy, and work your way up to Expert or try out the newly introduced Super Easy setting created especially for budding rock stars!
  • Rock out using Rock Band instrument controllers and other authorised third-party music videogame peripherals and microphones.

Fantastic break from the other rock band/GH games

I love the lego games. I love the rock band games and am useless at them. One thing that really annoys me is how difficult it can be to get some of the achievements, many of which require playing at expert difficulty - can't do that.

Lego Rock Band is different in that the achievements are accessible, the graphics are unusual for this type of game and are excellent fun and the track list is nice and gentle compared to the likes of GH Metallica but all great songs too. Brilliant for kids, great for adults. You can export the songs to Rock Band 2 to extend your library of tracks. This is definitely more a family game and it doesn't hurt the game at all.

Far better than Beatles Rock Band, this is highly recommended for family fun. if you're a hard-core rocker, you'd probably best miss it though.

a fun way to rock your heart out

Top 100 Books Reviewer

A lot of fun for both adults and children alike, and as my first dip into Rock Band or Guitar Hero type games I have no regrets and can toughly recommend it to anyone. The in game humour/cut scenes are great and the track list will introduce oldies like me to new music and also introduce my young son to 60s, 70s and 80s rock.

Like the reviewer below I love the Lego games and this is no exception, it has a fantastic track list, brilliant venues and some delightful humour and my wife loves it even though she hates video games. I too can play no better than medium difficulty but that does not deter from the overall pleasure from the game, when my grand childen came to visit ( yes I am 61 ) they took one look at my character and said thats you grandad and insisted on making their character and joining my band. It is a brilliant game and gives hours of gameplay and fun, you should see my grandaughter solo on the drums that has me in stitches. ROCK ON!!!

AWESOME GAME, you'll never wanna go out

what a game, great track selection, GHOST BUSTERS is even on it and the story mode is as good as you can get, as good as all the best guitar heros and 100 times better than band hero which was the biggest let down since the guitar came out

 two great concepts combined

uses the joy of customising and collecting lego with the fun of rock band to make it an enjoyable family game, its only real flaw is the setlist is only 40 songs long and you end up repeating some of the songs in story mode but definetly worth it for a rock band or lego fan :)
